“I had an incredible salon experience at JCPenney on Sunday, March 29, 2026, with Ms. Anita. After taking out my twists, I wasn’t up for washing my own hair and remembered they had a full-service salon—and I’m so glad I went. Ms. Anita was amazing, bringing decades of knowledge and care when it comes to natural hair. In addition she even introduced me to some new products that I would have never considered using.
The only minor drawback, which has nothing to do with her, is that the salon could benefit from updating their steamers, as they are antiquated and don’t effectively steam in my opinion. Other than that, the atmosphere was a whole vibe, clean, and I’m already looking forward to coming back in three months. Came in as a stranger, left as a friend! Thanks again, Ms. Anita!

“I visited this shop a couple of weeks ago. It was a Saturday afternoon. I stopped in to browse. The owner was friendly and attentive. I went to my car to get my neck fan as I was having a hot flash. When I returned inside the owner asked was there anything she could assist with, I said no and continued to browse. The owner said let us know we will wait for you. I asked what time they closed. She said 4pm. It was about 4:20. I was sooo embarrassed. I thought she closed at 5pm. I was just walking around looking, no idea they were closed. I apologized profusely. She assured me it was okay. She was BEYOND nice, patient and understanding with the mix up. She had the sweetest spirit. I plan to stop by next week. The customer service was superb.”
