I think they tried to scam me. I took my car in for an engine light, they said it would not start and they would need to replace the entire ignition, which is the first time it did not start after 3-4 months of continuous use without any real problems. I went to try it myself, and it started when they jumped it. They told me the battery is bad and needs to be replaced, and I told them I would rather do it myself. (Autozone tested the battery later and it was in good condition and did not need to be replaced. THEY LIED.). They also told me the Mass Airflow Sensor was bad and needed replacement, and quoted me 230 dollars for the part with 120 dollars for labor. Amazon had them for 25 dollars, so I declined that as well. They said they cannot continue the diagnostic without replacing the sensor and charged me 99 dollars (the original diagnostic was quoted at 120 dollars) for what they had done so far. When asked exactly what they did so far they said, "the diagnostic". And would not go in further detail. The only information they gave me was the mass air flow sensor was bad, the battery was bad (which it wasnt), and the ignition was bad. When I went to AutoZone later they said they sell high quality mass airflow sensors with lifetime warrantee for 80 bucks, and i replaced it myself in less than 2 minutes with a single screwdriver, saving myself 270 dollars in the process. I have no choice but to come to the conclusion they are trying to scam me and potentially others. Maybe the ignition does have a problem, i bet the mass airflow sensor has a problem, i know the battery doesn't.Edit: the battery is going bad, the ignition problem is minor and ignorable. The mass airflow sensor did need replacing. I retract my accusations of lying and instead complain about outrageous overpricing. (120 for labor to undo and redo 2 easily accessible screws is insane). Still weirded out by the fact I had never had battery problems until I took it in though

I never thought I would say the words "honest and fair" in the same sentence when describing a auto repair shop. That was until I ran across United Auto Care. I own a 2010 Range Rover who's brake pad light displayed as needing repair. From the initial phone call to UAC I felt at ease. Took my Range in and they did an inspection and gave me a quote to the repair cost. Although high, i knew it was still cheaper than taking the car to the dealership. Received my car back within 2-days only because i requested a additional part to be replaced that had to be ordered. The drive out price was cheaper than the estimated price because during the repair they determined that my rear brakes didn't need to be replaced...so they didn't. I wouldn't have known one way or the other but they did the HONEST thing and didn't charge me for a parts and repairs I didn't need.I can tell they are Faith based individuals and it felt good to see honest, sincere, and trustworthy people. I will be back and will recommend them to all my family and friends. Thanks Danny, Jeff and the rest of your amazing team...FAVOR!Services: General repairs & maintenance

This company scammed me out of $600. It is good to know your car and things about it when dealing with shops. I took my car to them to get a noise diagnosed. When I dropped the car off, I told them exactly where the noise was coming from and knew exactly what they had to do to attempt a diagnostic. They told me one price. 4 hrs later, of course that called me with another price because they had to remove maybe 10-12 bolts in total. Almost $200 more for those bolts. He GM calls me 3 days later and says the 1 hr job took them 4 hrs to do. He claimed that I needed new parts that were just installed a week or 2 ago before. I asked him how did he determine this. What damage did you find? He replied, “we didn’t have to look, you had already told us”. I kid you not. He was not able to tell me where he found ANY damage because there WASNT ANY. So fast forward. I instructed them to put the parts back together which when getting a diagnostic on a vehicle has always been included all of my life. But this shop tried to charge me another $400 just to put it back together. So they charge you to take a part off and charge you again to put it back how they found it. I asked to speak to owner, Ryan. IT NEVER HAPPENED. GM had every excuse in the world. Then proceeded to tell me that the owner said he called me and discussed a price with me and I kept telling him he didn’t. Hours later he claims that the owner “must’ve” talked to someone else with same type of vehicle. I asked him why wasn’t I told that it would cost to put a part back on after taking it off before they took it off. He kept changing the subject. So in essence, paid $600 for nothing. Vehicle is no longer making horrible noise after changing the oil pump at a different shop. Mind you I was told the lifters and camshaft that were brand new, needed to be replaced for $6800. That’s the price of the entire engine plus 25%. If I didn’t know any better, they would’ve did me much worse! DO NOT GO HERE!! I will be taking the next appropriate steps!

United Auto Care is by far the worst auto repair shop my husband and I have ever dealt with. Sadly we dealt with them unsuccessfully for several months, and our vehicle was never actually repaired. They were rude, deceptive, and condescending. We never really knew what was going on with our vehicle, and whenever we called to inquire on the status of the repair the employees seemed bothered or irritated. Every time we spoke with someone we were told a different story. Over the course of several months we spent thousands of dollars trying to get our vehicle fixed and they could never really tell us what the issue was. When we requested refunds for deposits and repairs that were allegedly made but somehow never actually fixed the issues we were bombarded with excuses and policies to justify why weren’t eligible for a refund! It was a total nightmare! I wouldn’t recommend this repair shop to my worst enemy!

This place is such a scam! My mom was charged over $2000 and still having the same issues as when she brought it in. I was quoted $600-$900 for a part that only cost $160. They will charge all kinds of additional diagnostic test and upsale you. Do not go here! Especially if your a woman because they will take you for a fool! The worst part is the owner claims to be a preacher so people will trust him but he obviously is taking advantage of people.

While I was disappointed that my vehicle wasn't ready a little faster, I was very pleased that they went through the repair thoroughly to ensure I wouldn't have any issues. The car is running great and getting me where I need to go. Very professional team and customer oriented.

Ended up being a small issue (thankfully) and I appreciate their honesty and great prices. You can definitely trust Ryan and the guys at United. Thanks y’all!!

First time customer. It has been several weeks since I have gotten my truck back. I was completely satisfied with the work that was done. After four weeks I am still completely satisfied. It has been a long time since my truck has gone down the highway as well as it does now. I ended up getting more work done than I planned on. Some of the extra work were maintenance related that I was just putting off. Two items could be classified as safety related that other shops could have told me were needing attention but didn’t. Overall I had a good experience and will not hesitate to go back.Services: Transmission

We have used United Auto Care for the past several years, Danny at the front desk always greets us with a smile and a friendly hello, he is extremely knowledgeable and answers all of our questions. The vehicle is checked out by their professional technicians, Danny calls us tells us what is the problem with our car, gives us a total amount for repairs and a time the car will be completed. At times because of money being so tight for everyone right now, he helps us prioritize the needed repairs and then helps us come up with a plan to complete the rest of the work. We are called when the car is ready for pick-up, we go and pick up the car, Danny makes it so easy and quick to pay our bill.He always tells us to have a great day and the most important thing, and unfortunately people don't say it anymore, but he always says THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS and if you need anything, let us know. I would recommend UAC to everyone.
