A great surprise in the country. Nice layout, greens were very smooth only issue was the sandtraps they have not fixed them since heavy rains over two months ago!

There is really nothing to do here, other than swim in the lake, which has a very small area that is roped off due to alligators or fish. I do love to fish, so that is a bonus for me however, there is not even a welcome center here. They do have a lodge and a restaurant, but that is being torn down and redone this December. That should lead to a much higher review once the improvements are done to this park. If you like sitting on the lake in the heat, this is a perfect place for you, and there’s nothing wrong with it. There’s just nothing except cypress, trees, and Alabama to see!

Cotton hill is one of our favorite places to camp and fish, we love the peace and quiet.

Looks abandoned, stopped by and went in, walked around for 30 min. no one came out to desk, I heard people talking in offices or back room, tried to get someone's attention, no one ever acknowledged us. Restaurant is closed, marina is a dump for decapitated old boats, pool green. So sad because the view and venue and location of this place is amazing. Whoever is running and marketing this should be fired. Such great potential.

Not worth coming aver they've privatized the park. All but 1 playground has been removed. They no longer hold public events. Wish it would have stayed the way it was before.

Beautiful beautiful location, really a hidden gem for that area. It’s quiet and peaceful and full of what nature has to offer. It’s plenty of things to do there especially on a nice sunny day. Words can’t describe this state park it’s a must visit and a must see for yourself

Beautiful park. Biggest lake I have ever seen! Don't go during the week unless you want to be utterly ALONE. Went on a Tuesday and there was no one. No one at the entrance booth, no one in the cabins, no one at the office, etc. At least a couple of workers need to be present and available during the day.

Very pretty park but there was no one at the kiosk to pay and the signs for trails were misleading. Still recommend going.

This is a hard one to rate accurately because the park is gorgeous with zero crowding, but due to repeated management changes, the facilities have not been well maintained. Personally I think it’s worth the visit even staying in the rustic camps. You will see so much wildlife! We always see many deer, alligators, a fox family, and osprey, plus great fishing.Cabin 2 is our favorite. All the cabins have beautiful lake views. The lodge no longer offers food, and there isn’t really anywhere close to eat out either, so you will want to bring your meals with you. The cabins are equipped with basic kitchen supplies.

My family and I have been vacationing here for the past 20 years. Never had a issue until this year I hear GADNR has taken back over and Georgia is known for their beautiful parks and great hospitality. Evidently the new manager at this park is power struck and doesn’t know that and a lot of the changes that was made we wasn’t aware of there’s no signs anywhere stating the changes that were made. For instance our gator side by side we didn’t know we couldn’t drive it on the park there is a way to talk to anyone with respect she jumped us and told us this was HER park and this thing wasn’t allowed on HER park and the rudeness and profanity was very uncalled for!!!! The assistant manger once we spoke with her she was very professional and understanding she made our stay much better. The state needs to send the manager thru anger management classes she has a huge chip on her shoulder!! Good luck to anyone that goes to George T. Bagby just beware there’s a witch there she doesn’t know how to talk to anyone she’s very rude and hateful!!!

We came to stay at an Airbnb on the water and it didn’t have the best swimming so this park was about 30 minutes away we got to it kind of early but we were the only ones there the entire time it was super nice shallow enough to let the kids go in but deeper towards the end of it yellow boundary. The trees are gorgeous excellent place to take photos with lots of hanging Moss a perfect photo op had a wonderful time little treasure!

Great location but in terrible condition and highly overpriced. Website is very misleading with regards to restaurant, marina, marine fuel and boat rentals as all are unavailable. Rented large cabin for the weekend and was very disappointed. AC filter clogged with months of accumulated dust to the point of AC not working properly when we arrived. Called front desk and they came out promptly and were very helpful and professional and got filter changed quickly. Furniture very worn and dirty, linens in bad shape, microwave did not work and stove hood vent chase line terminated in cabinet above. Spiders and roaches running around. Wife wanted to leave within an hour but I talked her into staying. Grew up on this lake and it was disheartening to see this facility in such bad condition. It needs to be demolished in it’s entirely and rebuilt. Just look at the boats in the marina. The only positive during our stay here was the staff, their sincere desire to help and understanding of our concerns.

They claim to be remodeling the restaurant, only have cabins, no rooms to rent, no marina service and don’t maintain their Phenomenon Trail. The primitive walking part was last mowed/cleared about a year ago. The paved trail, from office(lodge) to the Lock is always covered in debris, which frequently punctures bike tires and is a tripping hazard for older walkers! There’s been a large downed tree blocking the trail for weeks! It can’t take much to drive their John Deere Gator w/air blower done the trail every few weeks. And, forget about the current shape of the golf course.
