The service here is generally good. But today I bought some items, the cashier handed me my bags and I went home. But when I got home some of my items were missing. I tried calling before making the trip back up there but after a couple hours of a busy signal while I made sure I wasn't overlooking them I drove back the 10 miles knowing I had another 10 back, all wasted miles if they were not there. Upon arriving I asked if I had left an item behind and the one that helped check me out said she didn't know, the guy there said they were in the cooler. I asked why I kept getting a busy signal and they said the phone was broken. So how is a business functioning with a broken phone? Don't they sell phones anymore or is it a phone service problem? This makes no sense to me. But hey I was soo "lucky" to get to pay for gas in my truck to drive the 20 miles to get something I already paid for but the cashier forgot to give me. Thanks for all the extra effort to help. Since u bag them on your side I only know I have what u give me.

Saw the new sign and thought I would go check it out.WOW... This place is pretty rough. There was so much trash in the parking lot that you had to walk over it to get in and out of the car. Not only were the restrooms disgustingly dirty, there was no toilet paper, paper towels or hand soap. You think a place that sells these things would at least be able to handle that. I saw an employee go in to the restroom, come out, then just stand there talking to the cashier on whether or not she should clock in early. No concern at all about the bathroom supplies. Pretty grose to think of a store with produce where employees couldn't wash their hands even if they wanted to. a new sign is not going to save this pit. Pretty sure they could use a little adult supervision at this place.

Just left this store and I am extremely angry at what happened, I went in to buy something for a toothache in the medicine section and was looking for orajel which I didn't realize was located by the toothpaste. It took me a while to locate it so I was in that area a while, the store manager was busy with another customer and the one cashier working but he kept staring at me like he thought I was going to steal something. When he was done with the customer and cashier he walked straight to his office and got on the intercom and announced that I was being watched on security and everything was being recorded and would record any theft. I paid for my item and asked for the supervisor and the cashier said she had no idea where he was, I have since called the store around 20 times with no answer. But I will get the store managers name eventually and report this to corporate, I was very offended by his behavior, it was also very unprofessional. I always loved this store up until this incident.

Came in for medicine for my kids. Had the 5 off 25 my subtotal was exactly $25 and she said it had to be over $25 on the subtotal to work. I work for another DG that’s not even true. I rang something else up anyways and it still didn’t go through so she fixed it (that was nice) but then I needed to split my payment between two cards. The lady told me I can’t do that on there self check out registers (we don’t have self checkout at the DG I work for so I didn’t know) but she wouldn’t open a register. Idk why they pulled all their drawers before all the customers had left the store? Also my 4 year old needed to use the restroom and their bathrooms were out of service. So Thank for nothing.

Just walked out without purchasing anything. All but one produce bag holder is empty. The cucumbers are rotten to the point they're mush. Bell peppers withered up. Lettuce and prepackaged salad mix all brown. The store is cluttered and dirty. I know staffing is hard right now, but the people working could at least remove the rotten vegetables.

In the morning of 10/3/2020 I went to the Fort Oglethorpe Dollar General Market to pick up quite a few items. Before my visit I had loaded a lot of coupons on my account via online, including the weekly $5 off $25 they run each week. In addition, I had a $5 DG gift card (or so I thought) that I had received from DG due to their coupons not applying and/or applying correctly.Once I got to the checkout, I entered my phone# so that my coupons would be applied. At first, it seemed to take - then all the sudden it logged me out. The nice cashier worked with me several times - I would try to re-enter my # and again, get logged out. She also scanned the DG gift card and it did not have the $5 it! People - this is what Dollar General has stooped to!Next thing I know, I've got a female store manager, then tall male staff (security? I don't know who he was - but he was less than 2 ft from me WITHOUT A FACE MASK!) The female manager asked me what the problem was and I explained it to her, and she became a bit defensive. I made it clear that I understood it was not her fault, but there are real issues with their system. Her attitude and tone made me feel like I had done something wrong for just informing them of the problem! I let them know I would not be purchasing the buggy full of items without being able to get credit for all the coupons I had loaded. After seeing real quick that this was going nowhere fast, I told them that I would just take my business elsewhere. I exited the store as was hobbling to my car, when the male employee (again-no mask) approached me and asked if I was still interested in purchasing the items, the manager said she would manually adjust the total for my coupons. He asked me "So how much do you think the coupons you have on your account come to?" So on the spot - with the numerous items - I'm trying to calculate my coupons in my head, but the guy would not stop talking and was very patronizing. I couldn't think straight and was trying to get him to hold on so that I could give him an accurate $, but he raised his voice to me and said "Mam - DON'T YOU SHUSH ME!" That's when I told him I never want to do business with the likes of them ever again. I'll take my business elsewhere! I told him that I was an old disabled grandma and I'm no threat - and I do not need to be treated this way - and HE LAUGHED IN MY FACE! People, this is PURE EVIL!Once I got to my car - I was so upset I just burst out crying. I don't know how I held it together as long as I did. Not to mention it takes a lot out of a person with a physical disability to shop in general. Now all my efforts went down the drain. Now - I am upper in age and suffer from more than one disability - including heart disease and osteoarthritis. I always wear my mask and do my errands early in the morning to avoid Covid-19 exposure to the best of my ability. For an employee at this store to approach a customer, without a face mask and not social distancing and treat them this way is beyond reprehensible! Food City is across the street - I spend over $100 that after I pulled myself together.BEWARE! This store is horrible. Take your business elsewhere.
