Not a good place to do personal or business taxes. They over charge to do taxes and their customer service is really bad!

Alan Gunn at the location in the Publix Plaza in Gainesville GA is absolutely useless. Completely screwed up my wife's information. I was sitting with my block accountant in Texas who even told us how he could correct the issue and all Alan wanted to do was argue. I wouldn't trust him to open a door let alone handle anything involving taxes.

Everybody here is stupid, especially Cassidy and Tammy, Cassidy messed up my taxes and costed me over 5,000$ and Tammy tried gas lighting me when I demanded a refund. The fat, nasty pig at the front counter needs to learn some manners as well…

I had an appt that was set up in advance for 2/12/24 at 11a with Barbara mysteriously it was double booked and I was asked to come back at 1p on 2/12/24 I did as asked and waited over an hour for Barbara not to come out and at least acknowledge me here. This was the worst experience I have had with H&R Block in Gainesville Ga on Thompson Bridge Rd, I have been going to H&R Block at this loc for almost 10 years ….. Disappointed

The gentleman who helped us was nice and willing to listen however the woman in the cubicle next to him was a nosy smart mouth who tried to insert herself into our conversation without knowing what was going on. Set up is an open room with dividers but just because you can hear what’s going on doesn’t mean you have to input your two cents. Front desk lady was rude too. Major staring problem and when I said thank you as we walked out no response, literally complete silence. As the person working the receptionist desk you are the face of the business. Hire someone who has people skills and knows how to work a scan machine. Even though our tax rep was nice, 2 out of the 3 employees in the building were awful so 1 star. Bottom line, don’t visit this H&R Block.

I had called last week to confirm our 10 am appoint and it was confirmed by the lady that answered the phone. This lady did not attempt to tell me we need to reschedule the appointment. They called my husband and said we had to reschedule the appoint to 1 pm. We get down here at 12:45 pm and the lady told us our appointment is at 1:30 ok no problem we will wait. Then at 2:00 pm still waiting and they said we gonna have to reschedule again. This years service sucks down here

The tax "professional" with whom I worked was the most incompetent person I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. I paid $250 to end up doing my own taxes, as I had to tell her which forms and boxes to fill out. She read my SSN very loudly in the office with others around, made multiple mistakes, and took hours (5+ hours over two days) to compete a very simple return. She also refused to call tech support when needed because she felt like they were mean to her. She was incapable of following simple instructions and clearly is in the wrong profession. She told me that clearly advertised services were not available (they were - it just took talking to three different people to get them). If I could give negative stars, I would. My wife is heavily pregnant with twins, so we chose to pay to have our taxes done by a tax pro to save us the trouble and stress, and this ended being the most stressful couple of days we've had in weeks.Do not use them for your taxes.
