Buying a $50,000 car was a breeze. Good salesman, easy transaction. Once the check clears is when you should see how a business treats its customers, and this one fails. The CX-90 has had multiple recalls, and mine has been in the shop twice now, once for 4-5 days and once for a month. After displacing you from a $50,000 product that you purchased in good faith, you are put in a vehicle that is not the one you signed up for, and when you bring that one back after being without your own car for a full month, they tell you if the loaner does not have the amount of gas in it that was in it when they gave it to you, they are going to charge you $6.00 a gal to replace it. Twice, you've had to drive an hour, give up your car and be treated like they are doing you a favor. Shows real class, and business acumen; make a customer at least a bit happy by eating $30 worth of gas for keeping his purchase from him for a month, or lose all future business. I guess they churn enough to choose the latter.

Do not trust anything this dealership tells you over the phone. I called and told them I'm looking for a car for my parents. They over the phone told me financing and a price as I was talking to multiple dealerships. They will give you a lower price and even send a lower invoice then pull a BAIT AND SWITCH to try to get you to sign at higher financing. I told my parents to walk out and sign nothing.
Don't trust them over the phone.

I purchased a brand new Mazda CX-50 from Jim Shorkey Gainesville Mazda 8 months ago and have had ongoing issues ever since.
From day one, I only received one key for the car, even though I paid for two. I was told to come back the next day to get the second one made. I did — only to be told the person who makes the keys wasn’t there. I came back a second time and was told it was too late in the day. On my third visit, I brought my car in due to a water leak (again, brand new vehicle) and asked them to make the second key while it was being serviced for several days. Once again, no key was made.
Life got busy, and I couldn’t keep wasting time driving 30 minutes back and forth for empty promises. A few months before, my brother also bought a car from them and had issues. My stepdad ended up leaving a negative Google review, and when the manager found out he was related to me, I was told we wouldn’t receive anything further from them unless the review was taken down. That was 3 months ago.
I recently took my car in for a routine service and once again asked about the key. Today, I received a call from a team member named Aron (who was very professional and genuinely tried to help), but I was told the dealership will not be giving me the second key I paid for.
This whole experience has been beyond frustrating. Poor communication, broken promises, and being threatened over an honest review? Absolutely unacceptable.
Bottom line: Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere. Jim Shorkey Gainesville Mazda does not stand by their word or take care of their customers

The easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I’ve ever had , and at 69 I’ve bought a ton! This purchase was for my wife and she’s thrilled with her purchase. Everyone at the dealership was amazing our salesman , who’s become our friend, Mark Sampson is a “ no pressure guy” . When we were ready , so was he. The process was smooth down to the most minute detail. Definitely will go back when I’m ready to trade my truck. Highly recommended. On a scale of 1 to 10 . A Ten. Blessings to you all!

I had an amazing time buying a car at Mazda Shorkey! They had the last vehicle in the state with the color combination I wanted, so I made the long 1.5-hour drive and wasn’t disappointed at all. I worked with Charles, who was fantastic! Excellent communication, really friendly, very helpful, and it never once felt like the dreaded car-buying experience. Dropped car off for service on Sunday. Got a call Monday that car was ready oil change, fluid topped off and tires rotated. 2 recalls also fixed. Picked up car and the tires have not been rotated.
Previously visit with another car from here . Was promised a 2nd key fob when vehicle was purchased. When I dropped off car ask about fob and was told they would have done. Came to pick up car and sales never told service department. No communication between departments and was told by service department that they did not get along with sales. Still do not have key go They will sale you a car but then they are done.

I really enjoyed working with Mr. Sampson and the Jim Shorkey Atlanta Mazda team. Although they were just over an hour away from my location, I reached out to them because they had some of the better online prices. When I requested an out-the-door quote, I received it within 10 minutes. I thought the quote was fair—so much so—I didn’t bother to haggle over the price and agreed to the initial quote. When closer dealerships wanted to match the offer after coming in with higher quotes, I declined and kept the business with those who provided fair, upfront pricing from the start.
