Great Local Business. I made the right choice.
I took in an absolute dinosaur of a desktop (10 year old Dell) to Gray Computers alongside a new Dell Inspiron with the hopes that GC could migrate and set up my new computer in a manner consistent with the antiquated one. I am super pleased. If you use GC, you'll be happy with your decision.
The owners took my call, even before the establishment was open for daily business.
Although GC is a small operation, they were highly recommended by both IT professionals for a governmental entity and private business owners.
The owners were very knowledgeable, and, believe it or now, ACTUALLY knew what customer service truly entails. GC took the time to explain what would need to be done, gave me adequate assurances that my data would not be lost or compromised in any way, gave me a realistic timeframe to finish my work order and fully address my needs. Then, GC EXCEEDED their own timeframe, finishing the work ahead of schedule.
Further, because of their speed in completing my work order, they then kept their business open after hours to allow me to drive back into town to get my computer before the weekend began. WHO DOES THIS IN 2024? Only a family owned and operated business who truly values their customers.
GC provided a complete backup, should the need ever arise, including the ability to purchase the external HDD onsite that was used for the making of the backup.
GC also found an unlaunched piece of malware that resided on the old CPU and isolated and removed it prior to the migration and backup, insuring that I would not simply move my potential problem on to the new CPU. The work performed for me exceeded the work I had originally expected, yet the price was more than reasonable, even if the extra work performed had not been done.
I was given a detailed bill, an even more detailed explanation of the work done and why, and offered an alternative to simply filling the landfill with my old CPU. Earth-friendly.... a definite plus!
I could have used a "box-store" "GEEK"-crew, but the work would have been much slower, and way more costly, unless I purchased an "All-in-One" protection plan that I would never use, drove 45 minutes to their location, and agreed to an auto-renewing plan. Once I subtracted the price of my new backup HDD, GC was less expensive (not even considering the gas/time lost in travel) much quicker in completing the work order, much more professional, and I had the satisfaction of knowing I spent my money locally, supporting my local business owner.
YOU CAN'T GO WRONG USING GRAY COMPUTERS FOR YOUR COMPUTER NEEDS. LOOK NO FURTHER!!

I paid for his service to have crazy claims like “can smell bugs in psu” when everything was brand new... he told me my graphics card was the issue but as I suspected it was the bios, Anyways I got a new motherboard and the graphics card works with 0 problems! I also noticed a few missing screws out of my sad mount and he claimed to of put a speaker on it but I couldn’t find one when I was looking for it. I seriously wasted my time and could of saved days if I just did it myself.

Very nice store. Friendly service. Got my Chromebook fixed quickly. I highly recommend this business! It is easy to find across the street from the zaxbys and dollar general in Gray. My family will definitely use this store in the future.
