I can only give my thoughts on the 4 year old classroom because that was my child's only experience there. The Teacher was non supportive, disengaged and not the friendly nature that you would expect from someone dealing with 3 & 4 year olds.My daughter was only there for 4 days and I pulled her out. In those 3 days I felt very unsupported as a parent of a child who was experiencing daycare setting for the first time. My daughter was extremely excited to start preschool on Monday. Tuesday came and she was kicking and screaming. She was fully potty trained so I found it disturbing when she had two accidents in one day. That was out of character for my child. It was suggested that maybe we should consider pull-ups (on a 4 year old). She started biting her nails, she was sitting by herself everyday she was picked up and just seemed very unhappy. The place is clean and there is a lady there who knows all of the kids by name but that friendliness does not translate to some of the other staff members. The communication, child security and sense of community is definitely lacking at this facility.I took my daughter to a different preschool and the experience was totally different. She was no longer crying when I dropped her off by day 3 at the new place. She was no longer excited about school so the first day she was kicking and screaming and the teacher took the time to get down to her level and reassure her. (At the new Preschool) I didn't expect my child to receive one on one attention because there are other children in the classroom but that made me feel so comfortable leaving her there. The vibe was just different from the time we walked in. EVERYONE said good morning and the teacher greeted both my daughter and myself with a smile. She still does almost two months later.I think Cedar Preschool at Hampton is a good place for older children who are adjusted to a daycare setting. If you are looking for a preschool that's more like a daycare and not a place where your child will learn then this is for you. I was not confident that this was the place that would help prepare my daughter for Pre-K.They called me almost a month later to ask was she coming back. When I said "no" the lady just said "ok". She didn't even attempt to see the reason and we left it at that. Probably didn't even realize that she never came back.

My 4yr old daughter is here now, my 16yr daughter and my 15 yr old son also attended this location… people here are wonderful and caring in my opinion, my daughter loves to wake up in the morning and get ready for school, she’s exited every day and that has a lot to say about this place alone!!!!

My son has been attending this school since he was 2! All of the teachers and faculty are wonderful. They remember EVERY child’s name and it feels like family. The best thing about Cedars at Hampton is the people. You can feel confident that your little will be taken care of just like they are part of an extended family…that’s how they treat you here.

Hi Jennifer,I still don’t have an update of when my daughter Journi is supposed to start daycare. I don’t understand, I paid the tuition and the first week in advance. I spoke to someone this past Friday and the mentioned that they don’t see any information for my daughter. This has been a nightmare! You guys scheduled my daughter to start school on June 5, 2023, and then when we get there for her first day you tell me the day that you do not have any room and that you will get back to me. And still nothing, not even reply. What is going on over there? At this point, I’ll take what was offered from the lady that came from the previous daycare that our daughter attended. “MY FULL REFUND”! Due to the lack of communication and my daughter being picked over.

Teachers talk you into enrolling. Making the school seem great. Very unorganized. Workers are nonchalant and not kid friendly. Don't tend to every kids needs.

Thank God i got my kids out of there. Maybe 1-2 teachers/staff genuinely liked their job. The teachers scream at the kids and the front office staff are very snarky. The cheap price is the only pro. And you get what you pay for. Teachers can bring their sick children but they will send your child for the slightest thing. There have been times i have called them out for being out of ratio. They are very inconsistent with their rules and guidelines. Not to mention i have seen many staff smoking right outside the school near the playground.

This school is in a great location for the communities here in Hampton but this school is by far the worst school to care for children. The place is old. It is old furniture that is no longer used in the hall way that u have to walk pass to take kids to class. Stop ur kids from touching the nasty dusty furniture. The teachers there show no love or compassion for the care or well being of children. To me this center is just a job for more then one of the teachers. They do the bare minimum. There are multiple uncleanliness area in this school. They are not following and COVID prevention at all. They allowed a child’s nose to run with yellow/ green snot in the Fall. I spoke up for this child and me and the teacher agreed as she showed no compassion and care for someone’s babe in her care the next day they kicked me kids out and said the teach is a teenager and isn’t done with training!

Let me tell you about my experience at LHA. This was years ago and I hope things have changed, but if it’s owned by the same person I doubt it. I stopped by one afternoon lunch to see my two kids (infant and two years old) who had been there about 5 months. What I witnessed made me sick to my stomach, literally. My two year old son was being put down for nap time and I was peering through the door window as I stood in the hallway. As the toddlers lay on their nap maps, I witnessed one of their own workers go to each child and EXTREMELY ROUGHLY position each child on their mat. My child was angled in his mat and she picked both of his legs up and threw them down hardly to straighten his legs in line with his trunk before she moved to the next child. Finally, what I saw made me sick. She fully picked up a child and threw him viciously onto a cushioned mat.The infant teacher in the hallway where I stood, saw the color drain out of my face and asked if I was okay. “No”, I said I needed to talk to the owner. I marched into her office and she immediately deferred and minimalized what I saw. I said the parent of the child who got thrown to the mat needs to know what happened. She refused and wouldn’t let me contact them, nor would she contact them. A few days later her anger towards me worsened when she saw I had left a note for the parent to contact me. She asked to meet with me and, as I had seen her do with other parents, talked with me outside in the porch, out of any earshot of anyone else. Fortunately, I eventually found the child’s name and found the parent’s phone number about a week later and I called them. Of course, the parents had not been informed by LHA.I couldn’t get my two kids out of their fast enough.I find it horrifying that an owner would not listen to and rectify a bad situation, but would heinously cover it up, silently sweep it under the rug and move forward with the attitude to shut up and be quiet. It’s all about money for them.

Did not accommodate my child with allergies. They were not concerned, nor did they call me informing me of the incident. Instead they let my daughter suffer all day. I never took her back!!!

My son attended from June to December of 2018. The sales pitch was awesome, however didn't deliver on NOTHING that was promised. My son had three accidents one in which was the last straw for me. He had a cut on his forehead where dried blood remained and scratches on his face. When asking what happen nobody knew the young lady said she didn't even notice his face at all. I immediately went to the office and spoke with the manager but also wanted to have a conversation with the director being this was the third encounter. Spoke to her on Monday while she was being totally nonchalant and defending the teachers I explained her negligence as well as the teachers negligence followed by removing my son. They truly don't care about the kids only the money and the establishment smells terrible more so in the afternoon. Needless to say this is a horrible school to trust with your child, but you do get what you pay for because its super cheap!

This place is strictly for the money and not for the genuine love of teaching and caring for children. Some of the teachers here should not be working with children. They do not have kid friendly personalities. The owner is rude. The school smells of mildew and needs to get better with keeping the place sanitized. So glad we got my Grandkids out of there fast, we love their School now! The prices are lower here, but the quality is much better elsewhere.

Mrs. Jennifer, the principal and her staff are excellent. Both of my kids have been going here. Their teaching is very hand-on, the school is very clean and their staff are friendly. Shout out to Mrs. Katie and Stacey (Pre-K). My kids love them so much. My 2nd grade son miss them even though he's at different school now. They teach your kids with love and passion. 5 Stars. XXXXX.
