This is a beautiful park... It was better before a current commissioner had the historic buildings demolished and closed the museum. This park was deemed worthy of the national registry of historic places. Dee Clemons the commissioner who had the buildings demolished did not care as she seems to have an inbred hated for anyone or anything with a Confederate tie. Very sad indeed.

For some reason, today April 10, 2021, the concert was extremely loud. And I live about two miles away. I hope this loudness will not continue into future events.

Pretty cool place to go with family and take pics. Lot of different places to take cool pics. Make sure to use the bathroom before you go. The bathrooms are locked for some reason. But other than that the place is awesome. Will prob go back and take the kids for another photo shoot here soon. If your in the area stop in and check it out

This park is another reminder of the civil war. It is also mainly just a farm. Although we did not notice anyone besides one or two other patrons. We decided to walk the gravel path, which you could drive on, that makes its way past some old signage of the battle that occurred here. The museum was closed during our visit. Nothing was open but we helped ourselves around. I imagined the battle field. The open green fields lead to a gulch and beyond rises another hill in the distance. You can see the companies fighting one another here and bodies littering the grounds with young men. Apparently they have re-enactments and weddings here too. Worth a visit if you have the time.

It was kind of interesting to stop an look around a bit. There is some signage and information about the civil war. There are not what I would call real hiking trails. I guess people drive the roads instead of hike. We bushwhacked a short cut which lead me to step on a stem of some plant that was cut and it went right through the bottom of my shoe. If you are near by I might suggest a quick stop but I would not recommend driving from any distance for a trip.

I lived there in the 80’s. I Don’t know where they got the name “NASH” farm from. It was called BARNETTE FARMS back then. WE (the Barnette’s) made it into the beautiful place it is now. It was in disrepair when we bought it. We called it The Dixon farm & our other farm (where Walmart is now in Lovejoy) we called The Turner farm. The only NASH I can recall was the old guy who worked at the gas station?!?The iron picket fence was made from the tubing taken out of the ice skating rink that used to be in The Omni Hotel under The World of Sid & Marty Krofft. The fence is set far off of the road becauseA) People wd park & take pictures of the magnificent farmscape. &B) It was made of iron because people wd see the Bison in the pasture, and run off the road & tear the fence down, regularly!I miss that place! But it will never be the same..It’s a shame what “political correctness” is doing to places like this & this country in general!•”If you don’t like it here, ‘DELTA is Ready When YOU are!”’ - Lewis Grizzard

Kind of subtle park nestled away from view until you turn and reach the crest of the hill and then you know...this was a battlefield. Feels quiet and solemn but deep in feel. Good to visit to keep it real of our past and the warriors who laid everything down for our future.

Good location. Venue was clean and had just enough space to facilitate a family reunion.
