So went to the Ingles grocery to get a couple things as well as a box of chicken. The deli had 4 people working but had to wait for one of them to ask what I needed. When they found out I wanted an 8 piece box of chicken they went over to the chicken in their case, talked about it then finally another deli worker came to me and stated we don't have enough to give you a box. I asked if they would be cooking more and once again they looked at each other and mumbled among themselves, looked at the man by the fryer and he yelled not cooking anymore, then one of the ladies told me no more chicken. So I went to the front of the store, waited to talk with a manager, and went she did finally talk with me, I told her what had happened, and asked what are the deli hours for the fried chicken, she said she was new so not sure but they had a couple more hours for cooking so she went to talk with the deli person. She went to the back of the deli s/w another man and he says they are cooking more chicken. THIS WHOLE ORDEAL COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE FOUR DELI WORKERS WERE JUST DOING THEIR JOB LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO AND IF THEIR MANAGER WAS DOING HIS JOB AS WELL. This Ingles needs better management that care about their customers since during my interactions today with the deli people and the store manager not once did I get a smile, I'm sorry or any indication that any of them cared at all what I needed even before or after the no chicken issue was resolved. Sure wish we had a Publix near, guess I will be driving to Anderson for the much needed customer service.

I would give Ingles 4 stars on selection and being helpful, but even though their signs say "mask required" they DO NOT ENFORCE MASKING NOR DISTANCING. It's Covid-19's dream! I was told that I needed to worry about myself. Some people just don't get it. I mask for other people's safety. During these times those people should also mask for others. I spend nearly $1000 a month at Ingles. But now I'm shopping elsewhere until either the dangers of Covid have passed or until Ingles decides to protect ALL of their customers. To their credit, they do offer 2 hours of morning shopping one day a week to older citizens, but they probably do not enforce that either. SHAME ON INGLES.

WOW. Not only am I really grateful for the conveniently-located INGLES GAS EXPRESSes while I travel home on all these country roads, but the *Cafe* (small area next to the florist with dining tables) is a great AIR-CONDITIONED place to rest while waiting for the cell phone to recharge... It's not a bad deal for INGLES, either, since I ended up buying about $100 worth of home decorating magazines to entertain me during the wait. Now if I could just find a place to buy maps of Georgia (& surrounding states) to use as a backup when the cell signal (or battery) fails...

The employees at this Ingles are incredibly friendly. And the meats here are by far the best in town. The butchers are always available to answer any questions or give suggestions. The store is clean, well lit and well organized. You can pick up freshly cooked food in the deli area or choose from an extensive selection of great cheeses. You pay a little more than you would at the Walmart that is a few doors down but it is well worth it for the convenience and the quality you receive. The gas prices here are usually within a penny of what you pay at Walmart.

Pretty average grocery store. Definitely gets some stars for cleanliness and for convenience. As far as I know it was the only grocery store near the place we stayed on Lake Hartwell. Also, they have the usual Ingles video rental store! Oh, on a side note they do not sell worms here...
