Towing a car , 450$ for 3 miles is insane.

Well I did not pass my rebuilt inspection. Well I don't know why there are so many negatives to this location. First there is a state inspector there, hence no funny business can happen, next Josh is the inspector, his job is to make sure the car is safe. Rhonda and her daughter were helpful with information. So it is what it is, I called the dealer and he will fix the findings. That's it. Inspection is $125. Make sure you eat before you go, there are no restaurants or gas stations to buy something to eat.

R&D Auto Truck Salvage, Inc. towed my car a couple of days ago. While I was still unloading my things and trying to grab needs include my dog processed to hook up the car and pump it up even with me asking them to please stop and give me a second. They also closed early that day and still charged me for that day when I didn't get the full opportunity to get it. They also are known to charge way more then anyone else in the Hazelhurst area. Just know their are 3 other options in town if you are in an accident and any of them are better then this. I was not informed of this until it was too late. But make sure you call them immediately because once R&D is there they will immediately start hooking up and give you no time or consideration. Oh and if you're wondering it was $450 dollars and I got the receipts. I've never heard of more then 200 especially since it was less then 3 miles. They also only accept cash, seems kinda shady to me.

Professional and more than fair. Didn’t have the part but that’s no matter, you can’t win them all. I have plenty of Chevy products that need work including an engine build. I’ll be back for sure.

This tow service was called to get my vehicle as well as the other driver's vehicle from an accident while taking the kids to school. We weren't even given the option to use our own choice of service. They were rude and wouldn't allow the driver of my vehicle to finish removing valuables from the car and then charged us $450 each (the driver of my car and the other car) to tow our vehicles not even 5 miles away. I'll forever warn others of their outrageous rates. I've never even heard of $450 for that short of a distance plus the attitudes are unacceptable.

I live in Missouri and the only used part I could find for the 2011 GMC Terrain we were working on was at R&D Auto Salvage. They were very friendly and helpful. They shipped the part that day, within 2 hours of getting off the phone with them. I would use them again when buying parts!

I rarely rant and rave about a place of business, a person or product unless I am throughly disgusted with said things mentioned above. And, considering my first amendment right… I’m going to! I recently purchased a 2005 Acura MDX Touring with 115k miles on it for a AMAZING price!Yes, it does have a salvage title, but it was a minimal front end collision that occurred recently and unfortunately the body parts & paint matching considered it “salvage” ALL work was done properly and professionally and vehicle is immaculate considering it’s age.Long story short, in Georgia salvaged vehicles have to undergo a road safety inspection before being taxed, titled & tagged. So, the local tax collectors office here (Jesup,Ga.) specifically recommends this dump to go to to get inspected. Let me start by saying this auto parts salvage recycling yard, looked like something out of a hillbilly horror film. Not to mention they required the inspection fee upfront just to schedule a appointment.I’ve NEVER heard of something like this happening before in my life! We pull up and automatically regret driving there. Upon arrival the office manager/co owner is more concerned gossiping with a local friend than the line of customers behind these two cackling hens waiting for service. Then, the shop crew can’t seem to find our vehicle (even though they have the work order & key fob in hand). Had to ask everyone but us what car it was and if it was theirs (4-6 people). Then the “so called” technician who inspected the vehicle completely had NO knowledge about our vehicles SRS/Airbag system and how it worked, so instead of checking with the Acura dealer, out of pure ignorance he just decided to fail it cause it didn’t function correctly (in his limited knowledge of this particular brand of vehicle) to fail our suv. When paperwork was brought to me, I tried to explain to him that I was a Acura mechanic for 6 years and he just brushed me off (mad!?!).So I called two different Acura dealer service departments and was told that this inspector was clearly in the wrong. Tried to go back and let the mechanic explain his ignorance, he brushed me off. lol!!! Then, I went back to the office to try to reason with the office secretary/co owner and calmly explain the same to her … she immediately got mad, stomped inside like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum and told me to leave. Not to mention this scrap metal recycling heap of rusted metal yard charged for the inspection before we even showed up!!! NEVER, NEVER EVER heard of that (unless for special order part). This place is a joke that looks like a EF5 tornado hit it. I would NOT, I repeat NOT take ANY vehicle there you don’t intend on scraping. These people should be ashamed of themselves for poorly operating a shady, shady business. You ALL should be ashamed of yourself ?

We purchased an out of state vehicle with a rebuilt title and used R & D Auto Salvage for the inspection required to get a Georgia title. From the very first phone call to R & D, I found Stephanie Crapps to be very responsive and helpful. Due to some changes in the way the State processes rebuilt titles, our local tag office had some difficulties getting everything to go through. I made multiple phone calls back to R & D to get what was needed, and Stephanie was just as responsive and helpful each time. Not only did they have a very clear-cut process for the inspection itself, but they were also very willing to do whatever it took to help us get our tag and title. I really appreciate the level of service we received from R & D and especially from Stephanie. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to get a vehicle inspected due to a rebuilt or salvage title.

Poorly ran, looked more like a scrap metal recycling yard a F5 tornado hit. Employees were rude, disrespectful, discourteous and VERY un professional. Also, didn’t even know which car was which, or who it belonged to … much less how to properly identify/inspect salvage title vehicles. The office secretary/owner was just as rude as the “so called “inspection” technician was when shown his diagnosis on inspection he failed was completely uneducated on & brushed me off after being proven wrong.( mad maybe!?!).Also, I have NEVER heard of any technician charge up front for work not even performed yet! (much less properly) I highly, highly recommend you take your vehicle ANYWHERE else in Ga. Before dealing with these scam artists. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!
