Outpost Gold & Gem Mining Co. is a great stop for anybody with children and a really fun, family-oriented place to spend the day. The folks and employees are the absolute best—helpful, friendly, very knowledgeable, informative, and very courteous. It is a really cool field trip idea and the best thing to do. The kids keep what they find and get so excited about the neat stuff and treasure hidden in the buckets. For more discerning eyes, there are amazing pieces inside the shop and they can also design custom jewelry. The service is above and beyond expectations, creating the most enjoyable experience. Visitors highly recommend this mining place over the rest and cannot wait to return.
9 year olds loved it. My only complaint is not enough gems, etc for the price and goes too fast- could be much bigger buckets full of sand to keep them busier for longer. Nice staff. Clean restroom.
