I love this shop. I always find something for my niece and nephew here when we visit Helen.

We have been to Helen twice now, and this is always one of our first stops! Christmas ornaments, magnets, gifts, and much more. Staff are always more than willing to help, and create beautiful pieces.

Cutest little place where you can buy and have a lock engraved to put on the fence by the river! Only takes a few minutes. They have plenty of other things from ornaments, magnets and toys engraved. The staff were really friendly as well

This place had any wooden toy you could think of and they would engrave anything you wanted on it, and the staff were super friendly

Extremely rude people. Slim older man and lady were both extremely rude to my cousins, who were trying to figure out what to get. We got out of there as fast as we could. The employees were very condescending to my cousins (14 & 16). Make for a horrible experience for them. I explained to them, some people are not worth it. Never going back again.

Cute store, but we got extremely rude customer service from both the employees working that day. Very rude and condescending. My niece was ready to spend more than $100 because she really liked the product. But because of their condescending attitude we couldn't leave faster. I had to explain to my niece that it isn't her fault, that sometimes grown ups have bad days too.

Tim's has lots of interesting wooden toys, signs and other cool stuff. They can customize lots of different signs and wall hangings for you. They also have wooden puzzles, shields with customized crests and even puppets! Stop in for something unique that isn't like all the other schlotzsky's the shops in town sell.

The slim, older male employee was incredibly rude to my family today. He falsely accused us of messing with the puppets. My 13 year old boys were definitely NOT playing with puppets meant for small children. ?Then, my 11 year niece was examining a wooden puzzle box ($43) which she was planning to purchase with her own money, and he grabbed it out of her hands and told her not to touch it. This man cost the store her purchase, and the boys' purchases of the engraved axes and shields.

The staff was amazing & so hands on about their craft. I felt like I was both stepping back in time, with some of their traditional toys, and looking at some of the newer options. Cant wait to visit again!

Extremely friendly & helpful staff. Stopped by on our last day in Helen to check out getting a custom "camper sign" for some friends. Very accommodating & fair pricing in my opinion, so glad to have stopped in this place to get a unique gift for friends back home.

What a cute store! The lady that was working was friendly and helpful. The toys are sturdy and there are so many options! Each item we bought was personalized while we shopped at nearby stores. The store sent a text telling us when our order was ready. Would definitely go back here!

Such a cute little handmade wooden toy shop with many different toys to chose from! They can also be personalized. Definitely recommend stopping in for a souvenir!

I read about this place on a website about places to go on a day trip in Helen. The website said that the writer and their kids could have spent ‘hours’ playing with countless wooden toys of many varieties. I was excited to check out this place and took pains to find it because it wasn’t easy with Google maps’ walking directions. What a disappointment when I got there. First of all, I entered and saw an older white gentleman sitting behind the counter directly in front of the entryway looking down and he did not bother to look up let alone say hello even though there was literally only one other customer in the store besides me, and that too in the afternoon just three days before Christmas. Ok fine, I get people don’t feel like doing ‘customer service’ all day even if it’s good for their business, and maybe the store was busier earlier that day, who knows. On to the toys. What I could see was a few shelves of wooden vehicles. Much more expensive than Melissa and Doug wooden toys but all are unpainted. And you can pay $5 extra to get it engraved with a name. These toys were way overpriced for what they were, so basically the only advantage to buying here is you can get a toy engraved. If you got the smallest car engraved that would be $14. For that price you can get a wooden two-level tractor trailer and four vehicles from the Melissa and Doug brand. So I moved further into the store to see what else they had. There was very little else to see. A lot of wooden door signs, bee traps and other things that are not toys. I did not see any kids playing in the store and from reading the reviews here it does not sound like the owner would ever let kids just play with the toys ‘for hours.’ He couldn’t even be bothered to look up and greet a customer when his store was basically empty. I left there thinking that that website must have been paid to write a review like that and this store is not worth spending your hard earned money at, especially if the owner doesn’t like kids! (and in case the owner, whose responses to reviews seem pretty narcissistic and rude, tries to respond to this review saying my ‘children were endangering the store’s property and other customers’ and ‘sorry you had a bad experience at the store’ let me be clear- I went into this store all by myself! With or without kids, this store is a highly overrated experience with a very tiny selection of overpriced, very basic toys and an owner who apparently doesn’t like kids!!Just read the owner’s response (given previous responses I figured he might obsessively check his Google reviews and respond quickly). Dude, I visited your store today, not earlier this year. I am writing this hoping you are not a psychopath who is video recording every customer coming into their store so he can exact revenge for bad Google reviews. Not holding on to anything and happily sticking to Melissa and Doug wooden vehicle toys which are much nicer and a better deal than the junk you are selling. Try to provide better customer service and better products and maybe your Google rating won’t tank. Not looking for an apology here, simply sharing my impression of your shop, which is what a review is for! Do better! Merry Christmas!!!

This was a fun little shop to visit with children. There’s a little window to watch the craftsman working on toys and a nice selection of sturdy, wooden toys. We bought two trains and my 3 y/o spent the evening chugging and chuffing them around our rental, as well crashing them into each other. At the end of the evening they were still in great shape, which cannot be said of his plastic trains. He will enjoy them for a long time.
