Have been living in georgia for a short time and wanted to find a new stylist, so I made an appointment. I had Monica cut and dye my hair. She did a great job with cutting but my hair color was much darker than expected. I requested my hair be black but I didn't want it flat or pure black but it definetly was dyed the blackest black they had. That's my mistake I should've clarified so I can't be too upset. However I noticed a couple unsanitary things, such as hair bowls were dirty, the towels used to dry my hair were also used to wipe the floor and the hair brush used on my hair looked like a personal one with remaining hair stuck in it. I am paranoid of lice and that made me uncomfortable. Monica was very sweet but the salon experience isn't one I enjoyed.

Ms. Smita is an amazing woman with great talent!
It's so difficult to find a hairdresser who is talented, kind, caring, and makes you feel like a friend. I found mine, and I never want to lose her!
I've gone to Smita twice, once because I needed my hair fixed and shaped up, (from another "stylist" at another salon who just didn't do a good job) and she did a fantastic job, even to the point of offering me advice about my hair during the consultation, but, like a dummy, I didn't take it, thinking I knew my hair better than Smita who had been a stylist for over 20 years, lol. Well, I came back a couple of weeks later, and went with her suggestion, and now my hair is FABULOUS!!
When I say Smita is not only a talented hair stylist, she's also a kind, caring person, I'm not over stating. She went out of her way at least 4 times to just to make sure I was comfortable and had what was needed.
Name a stylist who offers you a ride home after your very first meeting so you don't have to get another Lyft?????
Ms. Smita should be protected at all costs. She is a wonderful woman with amazing talent!

OMG people!!! This was my first visit and I just couldn't wait to tell you about Smita. I am 73 years young and I've never had a stylist show so much concern for doing my hair to my satisfaction. She walked me through every step of what I could and couldn't do with my hair and even colored several strands so that I could see what color was going to look the best for my hair and skin color. She kept saying over and again that she wanted me to walk out satisified even if it took all day. The haircut was unbelievable also and I can't thank her enough for her expertise. I am so excited with what we came up with and I owe it all to Smita being a one in a million. You just don't find many people who love their work and her customers and not just seeing what all they can do extra to charge you more for. She went over and above for me and I was so shocked that it didn't cost as much as I had been paying from another salon. Thank you again Salon Rouge and I will definitely be back to see Smita in a couple of months. **********10 ?

I came for a haircut with Smita. 100% recommend. Personally, I don’t like hair salons because out of all my experiences, the stylist doesn’t have enough experience with curly hair, doesn’t take it seriously, or ignores details of the request. Not Smita! She asked what I wanted, gave ideas to better style my hair, pampered me, and delivered. Not only did I leave with a confidence boost, but a new stylist..

Y’allllllll… GO. SEE. MONICA.
I added a before and after of my hair because it’s important to note in reviews what the hair looked like to begin with. I’m also adding a photo of the photo I brought for inspiration. I think we can all agree… SHE KILLED IT! I’m obsessed. My mission was to add depth and it turned out better than I expected. I came in with a tight timeline as well, and she made it happen. I got balayage, a fantastic haircut, and styling in less than two hours. The prices were so reasonable as well. As I am new to the area, I know where I will be going from here on out! Thank so much Salon Rouge and Monica!!! :)

I'm very frustrated. I went to do some highlights on my hair and I shared the picture of the idea of what I wanted 3 times with the stylist. And it's not even close to it. I did not say anything at the salon because at the end of the day they cant reprocess my hair and fry it. But I paid over $140 for something that looks like a kid at beauty school who is practicing hair did it. FYI Stylist Maddie! Please look out before putting your hair in hands of someone who plays games acting like they know how to dye your hair. Advice to the salon: If you dont know how to do something just say no or refer it to someone else because its decietful and fradulent. Attached is my hair result and the picture that I showed the stylist. One side has color the other doesnt. Upset!

I went in for a trim. I have short hair and I wanted a basic fade/blend. It looked ok from the way it was brushed after the trim but after I took a shower, it's not a fade. It has a distinct line and it's not faded to blend nicely. I'm not happy with this trim, it was so basic that I'm surprised this was messed up. I guess I should go to a barber shop next time where they specialize in these sorts of trims

I’ve had both Smita and Maddie. Smita did haircuts on my daughters and Maddie did my hair. Both knew exactly what to do and were very friendly. I came in not knowing what to do with my hair, but Maddie knew in what direction to take it. She followed exactly what I said, a change not too drastic. I was expecting to spend $200, but only paid $130 including tip for highlights, haircut, and styling. Will come again!
