One of the worst power companies in South Georgia. Every 2 weeks you can expect an outage whether it’s storming or bright and sunny outside. Doesn’t matter the cause you’ll be waiting 2-3+ hours for it to come back on just for it go out after 20 minutes and stay out for another 2-3+ hours. They raise their rates but can’t keep your lights on consistently regardless of the weather. They don’t care either they just want that money at the end of the month. They don’t care if you have electricity or not. I really wish Georgia Power would replace this sorry excuse of an electric company.

I've lived in their service area for a few years now. There are power outages almost every week during the summer (rainy season). When you call to report the outage they never give an estimated time that power will be restored.
Usually it takes a few hours for power to be restored after a normal thunderstorm.
Owning a backup generator or backup battery is a must. It's also a good idea to get a chest freezer with good insulation. You cannot count on this EMC to provide reliable power.

The ladies at Slash Pine EMC do a wonderful job! Lynn stepped up and helped me with an issue just because she noticed it needed attention. It is awesome to be part of a small community/corporation where people still look out for each other.
Thanks for your help, Lynn.

11 days no power. No updates other than we are working on it and be patient. 325 lineman? Looks like you could use 300 more.

Slash pine we have children who stay on kinsey Rd who have to return to school tomorrow with no power. Yes their child will be excused if they do not send them. But that child will have to do make up work and miss new assignments that is being introduced. This is stressful on our youth. And creates anxiety on our children. Please send a crew out to help get power on Kinsley rd lake park so these children can have water, and electricity to go to school and get back to the new norm of being a child and enjoy their friends

Thank you to Miss Theresa and the linemen at Slash Pines! They came out within an hour to remove fallen power lines and made it possible for us to leave our driveway safely after four days of being stuck. Thank you thank you.

The communication is absolutely horrible. Where every other electric company is providing updates about the outages from the storm slash pines is not keeping their customers in the know at all. It would just me nice to have a little bit of communication. I know their is wide spread damage and distruction everywhere. As much as we have to pay for their services you would think they would communicate when the service might be back operational. I guess when you don't have a choice in service you don't have to provide customer service at all.

Horrible all the way around. Especially the office staff. It was fine till the last 4 months. I began getting extremely high bills when I called about it I was told there was a glitch in the system but the reading was accurate lmfao!!! What that doesn't even add up. Anyways I was basically told by the wonderfully rude staff that it was accurate and nothing I could do about it. I was purchasing my home but made the decision just before final decision to not purchase and move elsewhere outside of slay pine zone and yes I specifically ask what electric company before deciding!!!!

They always work so hard and long hours to provide electricity to their customers. They leave their families and safe home to keep us safe from fallen lines during storms. I appreciate everyone of these wonderful souls.Service: Electrical power restoration
