“The Art Center is truly a hidden gem for creativity and learning in our community. Whether you're a child exploring art for the first time or an adult looking to refine your skills, there's something here for everyone.
I originally stopped by in search of pottery classes--and was delighted to find not only that they offer them, but also that a new session begins on October 13th. In addition, there's a Fall Break Art Camp for grades 2-5, where children will experiment with a range of media including watercolor, acrylics, and collage.
As I walked through the space, I was able to watch artists at work and enjoy the current gallery exhibits on display. The atmosphere was inspiring and welcoming. Adult fall classes--running October 6th through December 13th--are also available, covering both visual and ceramic arts. Each class is taught by individual instructors, making it approachable for students of all levels. Best of all, online registration makes it simple to sign up.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that such a wonderful resource has been right in my neighborhood all along. It was a great experience, and I've already registered for pottery classes--something I'm really excited about!
If you're looking for a place to explore your creative side, I highly recommend checking out the Art Center.
Great value for 8 weeks art class at $280”

“I love this place! I visited for the first time with my husband during the fall festival, and we had an absolute blast. The staff were so kind and let us stay all the way until closing without ever rushing us. They even held our art pieces past the pickup deadline. I’ll definitely be back!! this place is truly therapeutic. Highly recommended!”

“I am super thankful to Thompson Framing gallery for their expeditious service.Wasn't expecting any particular outcome today, because my frame had fallen off the wall but I am extremely satisfied and will be returning. I'm the future. Good people.”

“I've been coming to Spruill for the past 10 months and I love it here! It's a warm, welcoming place with friendly staff and instructors. I especially love the Creative Connections class (for persons with dementia and their caregivers). This is a free watercolors class, taught by an artist/art therapist and I attended with my sister for six months. I also have taken intermediate/advanced mosaics and the mosaics studio is well-stocked with equipment and tesserae. Spruill also offers free community events and classes. Highly Recommended!”

“This is a cool spot that you should check out when in Alpharetta. It’s free! The gallery has many quality pieces on display. Expect it to take an hour or two depending how in depth you’d like to take your experience. If you live in the area, the Center is also home to a variety of studios and offers classes for both adults and children. I visited the building often when it was the library and wish I hadn’t waited so long to check out its transformation. Don’t make the same mistake!”

“We had an amazing experience at Frames etc! We needed a special gift for a surprise party. Despite dealing with our rushed timeline, and adding last minute items that we wanted framed, Jon was accommodating, kind, and patient. He has a great eye for design too. I came in with 14 pictures I needed matted and framed, and he quickly helped me pick colors and placement. Plus, the day before the party the manufacturer sent the wrong size frame. Jon immediately called me, and went above and beyond by offering to check his supplies at home. Not only did he come through with cutting the frame himself, and putting together my whole piece, but he came in, despite having a family emergency that day because, he knew the gift was a huge part of the surprise party. The final product was beautiful and a wonderful surprise for our family member!”

“I've been coming to Othels since May of 2017! The teachers are wonderful and I'm super grateful for them - my capabilities in art have shown clear progression throughout the years, and I owe much of that to Othels. I was able to find my niche/preferred medium with colored pencils, and taking art lessons here helped my technique improve big time! I'm now at the point where I'm starting to build up a portfolio that I'm already falling in love with - super happy to be a student here.”

“I recently moved from the area to NC and have been having a hard time finding black artwork for my home. I was back in GA for work and had to stop here on my way home. I found exactly what I was looking for and more pieces I plan to come back and grab. I bought 2 big pieces of art and the lady in the store noticed I was pregnant and helped carry the art out to my car. So nice and thoughtful! My husband and I will be back in town soon and plan on coming back for more art work.”

“If you love art you will love Carter House Gallery and Framing. I had went somewhere else, but they showed no interest in art. It was a very cold experience. I'm not one to say that's bad it's just not for me. When I walked into Carter House and saw the art handled with absolute care and excitement, I thought I found the right place, but when I spoke to Shannon it was confirmed. He's a gem and it was a pleasure doing business with him. Enjoy your visit.”

“I have been going to Sis& Moon for years and always find the most unique things there. I love that they sponsor local artist and they are invested in the community. I was looking for a particular painting that I saw in there sometime ago and it was done by an artist who has passed away . Kim was so nice looking everywhere, calling artist to see if they have it . I didn’t find the picture, but I just wanted to say how nice it was for Kim to follow up for two days”
