“My wife and I relocated to Georgia after her company transferred her position from Southern California. To be honest, we didn't think we could buy a house yet as I was looking for a new job, we didn't know the area at all, and as first-time buyers we were definitely more than a little intimidated by the entire process. We had met with a few different realtors before we met Patrick Casey, some of them only reinforced the idea that we weren't ready to buy (i.e. told us to come back when we had a bigger budget) and the rest did not listen to what we wanted (we wanted a fixer so we could make it our own and build some equity but everything they showed us was turnkey and way above our budget which just made us feel defeated before we even started). By the time we met Patrick we were just trying to get an idea of what the market was like so that we could start planning to buy in the future. He never made us feel pressured and he took the time to explain local markets to us and why a particular property or area may not be a good fit for us given our goals. He was clear from the beginning that he was there to help us and that he was in it for as long as it takes for us to be ready and to find the house that was right for us. He listened to us, took the time to really understand what was important to us, and made us feel very empowered in the process. I know that he has plenty of other clients, but we always felt like we had his full attention, and he was always available to answer questions. When we found the perfect house for our needs, he made sure that we got the best possible deal and to be honest, we walked away feeling great about what he was able to negotiate for us. Again, we were not buying an expensive house, our budget was modest, and we were buying a starter house that was a fixer upper. I am sure we are among his more "low budget" clients, but he made sure to make the process feel special and he was right by our side through it all. He calmed us down when things got stressful (we had to close in 3 weeks as we were losing our temporary housing, so things definitely got stressful through the underwriting process and when we had some snags on the financing side he was on the phone talking me down from full blown panic at 10:00pm) he advocated for us when needed, and he made us feel like we had someone looking out for us through it all. Honestly, we can't thank Patrick enough, he changed our lives in ways that I don't think he even realizes, and gave us the encouragement, support, and local knowledge to reach our lifelong goal of owning our own home. We love our new home, and we love owning our own land. Once we have renovated this house and are ready to find our forever home, we will absolutely have Patrick as our agent.
