This is simply the best vet in the area. We love the service and support we've gotten from them. We've been for everything from routine checkups to major knee surgery and they have been fantastic!

If I could give them zero I would. I took my dog to KMVS after he had been exhibiting symptoms of intestinal blockage for a couple of days.First visit 200$ - They sent me home with meds and an IV. Told me I have nothing to worry about and that he is just dehydrated. He started getting progressively worse the same day. When I saw how lifeless he was turning, as a medical student I did an abdominal exam and realized that there were no bowel movement sounds which is indicative of an emergency situation. I reached out to friends that are vets and techs and asked if the same rule about bowel sounds applies to animals. I was told he needs X-rays bc no sounds is not good news.Second visit 700$ - I waited hours outside for them to do X-rays, and analyze them and give me a diagnosis. They sent him home telling me he is just bloated, to give him Gas X. I told them I want a copy of the X-rays. When I looked at the X-rays you can clearly see a blockage at the ileo-cecal valve.I called KMVS and asked to talk to the vet. I told her that the X-ray shows blockage. She told me that she doesn't have the time to do a barium exam and to come back Monday. I was shocked. I told her: he can die and you want me to come back Monday ? She responded: well just take him to the ER I don't have the time to do the necessary test.I was speechless at the insensitivity, lack of care and compassion towards my service dog. I am disabled with severe PTSD, I depend fully on my dog and they didn't give a damn about my work dog or the mental state they left me in. I paid 700$ for a set of X-rays that weren't even interpreted correctly.I later applied for care credit and asked them to refund me and put the $700 on the credit card. I was told I would have 24 months no interest to pay my bill. Well to my surprise in September I started getting hit with interest. When I called them to ask them about it they said that they picked 6 months not 24 months. The lady told me that I should read the care credit website bc they say a lot of things that change and it's not their responsibility and there's nothing they can do.I do not recommend this place. Their doctors and staff can be described with 3 words: apathetic, superficial and greedy. If you value the life and health of your animals find a better place. This is not it.

Took very old sick dog in to be put down. I got there at opening and they told me the dr would not arrive for and hour after opening. Why post hours of it being open when you are really not open for business? What about people who come in with emergencies? They waited til my friend left the room and suggested I take 1k+ credit out to try to save her. I was not in the position to do that. And my dog more than likely would not have survived. Maybe if she were young but I felt so bad her being old and suffering. I initially said I would have her cremated. I called back to say I decided I wanted to bury her. When I went to pick her up they couldn't find her. It was horrible. The girl at the front argued that I had called saying there were no notes of my call. Very unorganized. It was a sad experience and they didn't make it easier.

One of the best vets I've visited. I agree with other reviews saying they are a bit pricey however my vet tech sat down with me for an extra 20 minutes to price different things out and made sure to give me a discount for prior military service. I really appreciated the extra effort Jennifer put in helping me get the lowest price possible. They also treated my dog like their own.

As a pet sitter I have a number of clients who use Kennesaw Mountain Veterinarian. There has been a few times that I have had to take my clients pets in unexpectedly. Thank goodness they would see the pets first thing in the morning or make time in the middle of the day to see them. They are always very kind and helpful. Making sure all my questions on care and medication are answered.

Dr Kirk Underwood has taken care of many family pets. His knowledge and compassion really set him apart from other veterinary professionals. We no longer live close, but still drive to see Dr. Underwood. We always feel welcome, and taken care of at KMVS. Definitely a 5 star office.
