Hours: LaGrange - Troup County Humane Society is a dedicated dog rescue organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes dogs in LaGrange and Troup County. Most of the animals are pitbulls, and the shelter does a good job caring for them, although some visitors wish animals weren't chipped. The organization shares a building with the City of LaGrange Animal Services but is a separate entity and only handles dogs. Visitors often find the staff helpful and compassionate, sometimes falling in love with the dogs, though adoption may not always be possible at the moment. The shelter is open Monday to Friday and by appointment on Saturdays.
