Grassy Pond is a beautiful, serene, and relaxing place. It is a family-friendly location with lots of trees for shade, a playground for kids, and a peaceful, wake-free lake for fishing. The scenery is very beautiful and well-maintained, offering starry nights and pleasant trails for walks. It is a great place for picnics, cabin stays, and family reunions. The cabins are really clean, super cozy, and updated, providing a home away from home with beautiful views. They include amenities like fire rings outside and televisions. The location is off the beaten path in South Georgia, which contributes to its quiet nature, though visitors should be prepared for bugs. The customer service is top notch, with friendly, helpful, and sweet staff. The place is recovering and rebuilding slowly, having faced some damage, but it remains a highly recommended and enjoyable visit.
Military family camp ground. The public is welcome. Restrooms look new, we didn't need to use them. Sites are full hook up, not real level but manageable. A pond on the property you can boat or fish.

Had our son's wedding here. We also rented a cabin and used our golf cart to get around. If you bring an RV, they have FULL hookups.
