What a lovely piece of history in Rabun County, GA! This quaint hotel/restaurant is warm & inviting. The staff were welcoming & encouraged us to take a look around the facility on our first trip to the hotel for our anniversary dinner. The dining room was a rustic setting with a definite touch of elegance. Our server, Hannah, was a delight. She was very personable & accommodating to our needs. Our dinner included an appetizer of pimento cheese balls, a pork tenderloin dinner with fingerling potatoes & asparagus, a delicious pasta dujour to which I added shrimp, and a white chocolate crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious! We look forward to returning to this jewel of a restaurant sometime in the near future. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful experience!

We chose a later brunch time to accommodate my 100 year old friend's eating schedule. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived and we were seated in the back room off to the side. The room was very cold and being heated by two space heaters. The lights were uncomfortably bright. They had run out of some food and told us after we had ordered. When we decided we wanted to add on a simple biscuit to our meal, we were told the kitchen had shut down already and they had no biscuits left. The server was very nice and apologetic. I just think that all seating times should be taken into consideration, not just the early ones. The food was ok but I have had better from them in the past. I don't think this will be a regular brunch place for me. All my dinners have been excellent!

The food was a little disappointing. We have been here several times in the past and it was pretty good. This time it left much to be desired. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the stuffed French toast. My Husband also got the biscuits and gravy. The chicken was like chicken nuggets and waffles were very under cooked it was also served with a teaspoon of grits. The stuffed French toast was more like yogurt smeared on for pieces of bread. Biscuits and gravy were good.

As a first-time patron, I didn't know what to expect. But, I enjoyed the meal and service. I appreciated the restaurant was on site so no need to travel far. The chicken was delicious and the desserts were on point. Thank you Robbie for enhancing our Valentine's getaway experience!

I have to say that we have enjoyed the restaurant before so we were looking forward to returning. The meal was perfection. I can't brag enough about the first rate quality of everything from food to service. They made it a special experience.

Our experience was wonderful. It was Valentines Day and the restaurant was packed, but that did not diminish the excellent dinner and ambience that we experienced. Excellent quality, great service, and a fantastic evening out.

The bartender, Robbie was awesome. Very friendly and made excellent cocktails and knowledgeable about the wine selection and gave good advice on the menu. Service was very good- my only quibble would be that it took us over 15 minutes to be seated - we had reservations and arrived 5 minutes early. There was plenty to see in the lobby so the time passed quickly and once we were seated everything was great. Food was delicious and fresh and dessert was divine!

As long-time residents of Seed Lake, we feel lucky to have LRH restaurant right here in Lakemont. It's an outstanding historic venue, where we always feel welcome, and always leave happy. My pasta special was a little heavy on sun-dried tomato, as they contribute quite a strong component to a dish. I added Wild Caught Salmon, and glad I did. It was a generous amount of food. Doug had a burger and shared a bite with me. Delicious and grilled just right! Sara and Hannah were efficient, cheerful and bright. Even mixologist Robby came to our table to say hello. A chilly night, but the room was cozy and warm. A pleasure, as always!

On Thursday Jan 25 at 7pm my wife and I drove through incredible fog and rain to have dinner at your restaurant. There were a total of 3 tables being used. We ordered very simple wagyu burgers and salads. The server and a trainee had a great time behind the bar laughing and sharing stories amongst themselves ignoring the diners. To the point where we and another table of diners had to go get them to ask for assistance. The wedge fries were raw. The burgers were not flavored right (as in was the meat prepared properly?). We ate a few bites and left. For such a beautiful Inn and area may I suggest you examine how you engage with customers and prepare your meals.

10 out of 5 stars. We first ate at the Lake Rabun Hotel restaurant this past fall and were blown away by the unique, delicious food. We've since told everyone we know to go and try it. We've eaten off the specials menu and the normal menu. All the dishes are delicious and the sides are incredibly unique in taste and complement the dishes really well. Tonight's experience was a unique one. Another guest accidentally blocked in our car, so we couldn't back out. The restaurant and hotel staff went above and beyond to help us out. We're so thankful for them all!

We love staying at this quaint historic hotel on Lake Rabun. Rooms are tight but lots of wonderful common areas, porches, etc to enjoy. Unfortunately the food this time was really unimpressive especially for a destination restaurant claiming to be a 'top 100 farm to table' establishments. Pasta dish had a heavy oil/butter sauce. Everything else was good but very ordinary including the breakfast offering. They should really up their game in this department IMO.

We've been going to Lake Rabun Hotel once or twice a year for 10 years. This December, for the first time, we were disappointed with the restaurant food. The menu is good, and the main entrees were delicious but the sides were disappointing - and the same for the two nights we ate there. It seems there is a attempt to make the dishes 'different' which resulted in unusual, and not always tasty, flavors. In addition, the three sides to my fish dishes were ALL unique, and thus didn't go with each other. (I can't even describe them). The second night I didn't even try to eat them. The meat dishes had mashed potatoes and root vegetables which were good, but I had elected to have fish both nights. (Breakfast: the scrambled eggs (both days) had the same unusual tastes (not great), with bacon one day, sausage the next. The biscuits were excellent. As mentioned, this was very unusual for Lake Rabun Hotel and I hope the review will get them moving back on the right track.

Excellent service and the food was very good. The bartender, Robbie West, deserves a big "Shout Out". Robbie is very This is a great spot for special occasions, relaxation, quiet, and conversations. I highly recommend the Hotel and the Restaurant. The whole experience was a pleasant step back in time.

We have eaten here several times and for this time it wasn't as good as before. Our table set up and location was not the best, kind of felt like we were in the way and it was noisy. It was very cold, I'm not sure if the heat wasn't working properly but it was cold at our table. We saw the servers setting up a portable heater at another table. The service was good, no complaint. The food was good and everyone at the table said theirs was good, not great. The sides that were with the main course were not hot on my plate, one of them was cool- wasn't hot at all. Just felt like the food wasn't as good as has been in the past for the price of it.

This was a nice meal with really good timing, great presentation and fantastic taste. We started with the arugula salad with heirloom tomatoes and goat cheese and entree were the amazing salmon dish and phenomenal beef tenderloin.
