The pharmacist refused to give proper instructions for a newly prescribed medication and ignored me as a customer. She also refused to refill prescriptions of a minor child. Dr. Sowayata (proper name spelling will be edited) is a vile human with no regard for patient care.
As a CVS employee, her behavior is illegal.
She blames doctors and hospitals for not sending prescriptions when my child’s doctor sent me a screenshot of proof for prescriptions being sent over. Unfortunately this is the main pharmacist at this location and she’s a law suit waiting to happen. AVOID at all costs. She should not be able to have a job with the way she treats so-called customers. It’s disgusting.

My favorite CVS!I use to go to the CVS by my house,but the customer service in the Pharmacy Department was unprofessional.So I started coming to the Sugarloaf location and I’m so glad!Santonio that works in the Pharmacy is the Best!He goes above and beyond to make sure you get your medication on time and he genuine cares!Marsha is the Best too and so is the Pharmacy team here!

I work for a healthcare company. I nicely called this pharmacy to ask about a VM left for a mutual patient. The lady and I can’t remember her name, but was working around 10:05 AM on August 19th, was super nice at first to help, but then couldn’t find the patient and said it’s at another store. But regardless if the pt is at another store, they can still find the pt in the system. So instead of letting me finish talking, she so rudely said it’s at another store have a good day, paused, I went to talk and hung up in my face. AWFUL customer service and I’m not even a patient, I’m a healthcare worker at a facility! I’ll never recommend this store because that lady has a nasty attitude.

Customer Service
On Thursday, May 8th, I came to pick up an antibiotic necessary for a health condition I’m dealing with. Since my insurance was not accepted at the pharmacy, the person assisting me explained that I could try another pharmacy that might accept it, and that it would only require a phone call from the pharmacy I chose to CVS in order to transfer the prescription.
The result was not what I expected, because the other pharmacy contacted this CVS location and was told that there was no prescription. So I decided to return to CVS and request the medication again.
To my surprise, there was no record of the prescription in the system—despite the fact that it was clearly there on May 8th. I then showed the digital prescription, which clearly lists the medication and the pharmacy it was sent to, and even then, I could not obtain the medication. The reason given: because it was a digital prescription, it was not accepted—but if it were a paper prescription, it would be valid.
How is it possible that this happens? First the prescription existed in the system, then it disappears, and then a digital prescription is not accepted, while a manual one is? Does this reflect a failure in the healthcare system?
