What a disappointing experience for my mom’s rehab after fracturing left hip & shoulder. They stuck her in the nursing home & left her with a catheter for a week too long. (Infection was a result) Food was not good & for those bed bound, you were served after everyone else & if whatever you ordered was gone you got a “too bad” attitude. The PT staff was great, but when 6 of your 20 allowed days have no PT staff available, it’s not much rehab. Though my mom is capable of doing her own meds, they said they don’t do patients that way & gave us a hard time signing off on paperwork when we were transferring her to a closer Assisted Living facility. Seemed angry they had an. ASL beside the nursing home we didn’t want to use because it was almost an hour away from all of her children. They wanted more $ for a daily rate w/a roommate when we could get her much closer in a private studio apartment in a better facility.

My mom stayed for physical therapy, 3 weeks, from end of Sept - Oct 1, 2022. Delmar was comfortable, clean and the food was great! The atmosphere and grounds are bright and beautifully maintained. The staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. PT and OT staff were amazing. I would definitely recommend this facility for your loved ones.

Travel Nurse Review: The nursing home is clean and clutter free. The staff is friendly and helpful. Residents receive great quality care that is above the norm. of what I've encountered while traveling. Lastly, all medications and supplies were readily available. I would definitely work at this facility again.

VERY UPSET. I went here for a interview 2 weeks ago. I was hired on the spot and received a offer letter from Mrs.Joy. I was super excited about starting because I needed another job due to my recent job cutting hours due to the pandemic. I was hired to work overnight at the front desk. Last, week I went for my drug test, covid test, and tb test and passed all. Once I passed everything Mrs.Joy called me and asked to come in on Friday but I would be working 3pm to 11pm. I was so co fused because I was hired to work overnight from 10pm-8am. This is what I agreed to because the hours worked for me. I told her I was unable to do this shift but when can I come in to start the hours you hired me for? She stated that I should be coming in Thursday of the following week. So here I am today. I called Mrs.Joy this morning and asked her what time should i be coming in. She stated that her and her boss decided to go with someone else. I asked her Why? She stated because I didn't come and work 3pm-11pm. I told her that's not what she hired me for. She said that, was orientation hours but that not what was explained to me previously. She wanted me to work those hours in general. She was very rude to me on the phone and said well we went with someone else. I put a two weeks notice into my job thinking I had a new job and this was the outcome. I am hurt that people would be this non caring during our country time of need. I will be reaching out to corporate and the bureau on this matter.

All of the staff at Delmar Gardens were respectful towards my parents that lived there for 1 1/2 years. They transitioned into several living arrangements and were very well taken care of by all. I highly recommend this facility which is lovely but also the staff who really goes the extra mile.

I placed my mom in this nursing home for her rehab period after her knee replacement. This place has been a God send. The Administrator, her Assistant, the Therapists, the Nurses and the Housekeeping staff are fabulous! The facility is so ecstatically pleasing and super clean! My mom told me that she’ll actually miss this place when she is released. When was the last time you heard someone enjoy being at a nursing home, especially when you’re self sufficient? One word describes Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett, WOW!!!

I just had the most unprofessional interaction with a bookkeeper and director of Nursing. Never has any one approached or addressed concerns in the manner that I just witnessed today. When your loved one is in a facility you do want to focus on your visit and tending to their needs as well as focusing on th recovery process. You don’t want to be stopped when trying to go to the restroom and given an ad hoc hysteria driven analysis going into financial details or have a book keeper run behind you as you leave blurting out confidential information and prying for more information in the parking lot. I have NEVER experienced this type of unprofessionalism. I hope this gets better and not worse.
