“Don't let the location fool you. Yes, it's a Carneceria (meat market), Mexican bodega, and restaurant next to a gas station. Now, there are a few tables in the back to dine in, but to be totally honest this place it too small to enjoy eating in store. Don't you worry. They have the BEST authentic tacos in the area and eating in the car on the way home only makes them taste that much better. They also have dishes other than tacos, but at definitely don't skimp on flavor or portions. I've only tried their tacos, which are a decent size and all the meat choices are flavorful. My son came home with these tacos once and after tasting, I asked "where'd you get these?" His response was "at the gas station close to Walmart". WHAT??? After finding out exactly where he was talking about, I took note and eventually made my to La Barata Carneceria and ordered the the pollo, barbacoa and on another occasion, their Quesabirra tacos. OMG... The best!”

“We go here regularly, primarily for exotic produce and ethnic products -- not just Korean but also Mexican, Indian, Filipino, and others. They have regular seeded watermelons late into the season at a reasonable price.Reason for not 5 stars:*Price isn't always the best.*A lot of shelf space wasted on regular products that could be purchased at any grocery store for a lower price.Anyway, stop by. “Hace shopped at this market since they first opened. It's always well stocked and kept clean. Pricing is about the same as other similar markets in the area. I like the quality of their fresh bolillo and fresh made tortillas.The market carries products from Mexico,Central and South America.Produce is always in great shape and there's a good variety and amounts of it. The gentlemen in produce area are always very helpful.One item I find here and not in many places are the alternative healthier tostadas Buen Probecho brand made from nopal and chia or sesame seeds and baked not fried.Cashiers are super nice. The owners are very friendly and involved in making sure you find what you need.”

“I'd give it a 5 star but the 1 star missing is from a store employee at register 2 complaining about customers buying milk and bread cause the winter vortex warning is crazy and over reacting about a north EAST problem. Calling us ridiculous. Making everyone feel dumb for buying MILK. Like ok buddyy, your mad cause ppl are buying groceries incase anything happens. I always go there and have good experiences but when an employee is trying to make customers feel stupid for wanting to prepare for a freeze, he should NOT be working in public areas. Everyone heard him but didn't encourage him, as they should. This happened at register 2 around 7pm 1/15/24. Literally made ppl feel uncomfortable”
