We went here on a cultural tour during our girls trip and it was a really neat experience. Beautiful architecture and the people are super friendly.

The largest Hindu temple in North America. Or at least it was when it was built. I remember coming here with my mom the week that it opened to the public. Love the chaas (yogurt drink) in the restaurant near the temple.

Best Samosas I've ever eat! Excellent spot to stop after visiting the BASP Temple at Lillburn.
Open to one and all, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir was inaugurated in August of 2007 after only 17 months of construction time utilizing 1.3 Million volunteer hours. The Mandir is comprised of 3 types of stone (Turkish Limestone, Italian marble, and Indian pink sandstone). More than 34,000 individual pieces were carved by hand in India, shipped to the USA and assembled in Lilburn like a giant 3-D puzzle.
