“This Goodwill is hit or miss. Sometimes I leave empty-handed. The prices are still reasonable, and this location hasn’t been hit with the major price hikes yet. However, they also tend to have the worst furniture and the most boring items. Maybe it’s the neighborhood or the type of donations they get.
I’ve never seen a piece of furniture at this location that made my heart drop because it wouldn’t fit in my truck. You know the feeling I’m talking about — when you don’t even need the furniture, but you want it anyway because it’s just that beautiful. I haven’t come across anything like that here. Most of the time, I’m just trying to figure out whether the stains on the furniture are human-made or juice… then walking away.
The employees can have a slight attitude with people. I’ve seen it firsthand, though I’ve never experienced it myself. I carry myself with decorum and don’t invite the kind of energy that gets that response.

“Thrifting with great reasonable prices, deals and discounts while supporting a great cause, does it get any better than that?! Great housewears, crafting and clothing section. This place always hits if you need holiday decorations and the staff is lovely! plus there's usually a cat or dog in the shop which is so much fun. hands down my favorite thrift in the area to support!”
“The Alif Institute is an EXCELLENT Place to learn about Arab culture whether Muslim or Christian Arabs or Jews who live in the Middle Eastern region. Extremely friendly and have very diverse membership. Whether Arab or any other religion, race, or culture the desire of the center to Educate and Provide meaningful information and activities for members and visitors is quite Extrodinary.The Institute is small however, robust and must be experienced. Activities ranging from oud classes, Arabic classes, Arab cooking classes, Derbakeh classes, women's chorus, Art classes, sewing classes, activities and events for children along with even more traditional activities across the Arab diaspora. Lastly, every first week of October of each year the Alif Institute has the Atlanta Arab Festival (19th) which attracts about 10,000 people. A must for Atlanta Festivals.”
“I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. First, $35 for a vet appointment healthy or sick. Each service was also the cheapest I’ve ever seen. Why don’t more vets have upfront pricing like this? Two people sat down with me and answered all of my questions (and I have a lot). The whole appointment took around an hour and a half. Well worth the wait, considering the price and the attention my kitten received.”
“I had such a wonderful experience with Planned PEThood! From the moment I brought my dog in, everyone was kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. It really means a lot knowing that your pet is being treated with patience, compassion, and care.
I especially want to recognize Janet, who was absolutely wonderful and incredibly helpful throughout the process. She took the time to answer my questions, explain everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable and confident that my dog was in good hands. Her kindness and helpfulness truly stood out! . I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a place that truly cares about animals and their owners. 🐾”
“Very pleasant experience here, friendly people! I was in and out without any hassle. I was expecting to wait in a massive line but was pleasantly surprised when I was able to walk right up to the window and get help right away. $25 for a knee scooter, can’t beat that. Probably would cost you $200 + online.

“We volunteered at this location a few weeks ago with our women Aspire group and volunteers from my company. We spent the day helping them organize their stock and labeling it correctly. It was a very enlightening experience going through all the donations. This organization provides diapers, clothing, and other baby items and items mothers may need for themselves. Families can come in and shop for the things they need for their new baby. The staff was very friendly. I look forward to volunteering again.”

“I am studying the art Iaido, which is the Japanese Art of drawing a sword (aka Takana). I am 75 years old, and I have always wanted to study this art, but could never find a “traditional” Shibu (aka School or Dojo) where you learn the art of Iaido with the different katas (formalized series of movements – One could call it a form of “shadow boxing”) AND the traditional Japanese culture, filial piety, self control, honor, and respect for one another. This Shibu has all of these and more – “Really? How much more”.. I am glad you asked. In this Shibu, everyone offers to help and guide each other; This is very special, as egos do not play a part, and each and every one of students (Either Aikido or Iaido) strive to assist in helping each other. I would suggest the AAA school of Aikido and Iaido to anyone who is seeking a better path, physical training, and being part of school of GREAT people.

“My daughter was gifted a session for herself and her closest friends. The girls were very reluctant to participate, but they each say that they enjoyed the self defense techniques they learned. The parents of all of the girls were very appreciative as well. The girls had an opportunity to discuss tough topics that tweens are typically reluctant to discuss with parents. The facilitator, Ali, did a great job putting our girls at ease. I would highly recommend this training.”
“Beautiful large farm & barn, part of DeKalb County Parks & Recreation system, with Atlanta Audubon (removing invasive species & planting native ones), Little Creek Horse Park Foundation (supporting entire site; membership & volunteer opportunities!), Stride Ahead Equine Facilitated Therapy & Learning (varied, flexible, & fun volunteer opportunities!!), Atlanta Riding Academy (lessons in hunt seat & jumping), Mark's Riding School (lessons in general equitation & dressage), and Saturday morning meetings of "Pony Crew" club for kids -- all operating at a high level of quality & concientiousness. Strong barn director, assistant director, & staff adhere to best practices for the safety & health of the horses (& safety of the humans, too). Privately owned and school horses are boarded here. Multiple pastures, mostly Bermudagrass (& I think some crabgrass). Hay, feeds, balancers, & supplements, plus winter blanketing, provided to horses according to owners' instructions (& horses' needs). Nice outdoor arena with lots of jump and cavaletti equipment. Well-maintained, large, indoor arena (I think traditional dressage arena size) with soft combination footing. I've ridden horses off and on all my life & am in graduate school in equine science. I took dressage lessons here for 3+ years 30 years ago, resumed 2 years ago, and find it super therapeutic. I also enjoy volunteering for Stride Ahead. The best way to get information is to visit, park your car inside the motion-operated gate, walk to the far barn entrance, and look for a staff member to show you in what area of the barn each organization operates. Go to that area and get phone numbers from posters on the walls. Do NOT feed, give treats to, or touch any horses when you visit because what you think a horse might like could make him or her very sick, plus you never know which horses like to "nip at" or bite your fingers. But DO visit and look at the website! ”

“Very nice masjid. Everything so nice besides some volunteers in women side is very ignorant and rude! One Friday I just want to buy food and one girl told me to pay 15 dollars then I realised I forget my wallet..then I go to my husband to bring money.. After i came back the other women told me to give 20 dollars...i Just shocked..i mean i donate for masjid no problem but its seems unfair. The other day in milad..that same lady give food..she behave like we... Can not afford food! Came on man we don’t go there for food..we just want to part of dua mahfill..that's it..it’s very very rude..otherwise it’s a good masjid...I love to go there..just need some changes..”

He was the one being Floppy from the crate but he was extremely informed on dog behavior and body language. He made meeting Floppy comfortable for everyone involved. “Tsu Chi has been around for a long time. Its emergency funds have reached out to all of the world for disaster relief. I have made my donations over the yeas through Tsu Chi as well as through American Red Cross. During recent Hurricane Harvey, I see their volunteers in several large Chinese grocery stores in Atlanta.”
