Dear Publix Management,
I’m writing to report an upsetting encounter I had with one of your employees that left me feeling disrespected and discriminated against.
While I was in your store on July 17, 2025, an employee, Micheal was his name, approached me abruptly from behind without properly addressing me and said, “You’ve been in here for like 45 minutes—you need to leave.” I was taken aback. I was not causing any disruption, just having a brief conversation with a friend who happens to work there.
His tone and approach were unnecessarily aggressive and made me feel like I was being monitored and unwelcome, simply for existing in the space. As a Black female customer, I couldn’t help but feel this was rooted in bias and racial profiling. I’ve never experienced anything like this while shopping, and I left the store feeling embarrassed, hurt, and singled out.
There are ways to communicate with customers that don’t involve intimidation or rudeness—this was not one of them. Whether I had been browsing or speaking to someone, I deserved to be treated with dignity.
I ask that this matter be taken seriously and handled appropriately. No customer should leave your store feeling the way I did.

I usually don’t have any issues at Publix, but today was rough. I waited about 40 minutes just to get one sub. There were two employees behind the counter, and it took them 15 minutes to come over and start helping—even though they could clearly see that the person ordering in front of us was getting multiple sandwiches.
It felt like they were in no rush at all, even with people waiting. I understand things get busy sometimes, but this just felt unorganized. Publix is normally on point, but this visit was frustrating and way slower than it should’ve been.

Dear Publix Management Team,
I’d like to share some feedback regarding a recent experience at your store, hoping it will help improve future service.
I placed a mobile order for a sandwich and began driving to the store, expecting that 30 minutes would be enough time for it to be prepared. However, when I arrived, I had to wait an additional 40 minutes before my order was ready. In total, I spent an hour and a half waiting for just one sandwich.
I understand that our neighborhood is expanding rapidly and that your team may be under pressure. But this kind of delay — especially for a pre-ordered item — is frustrating and disappointing
Additionally, I’ve noticed that for many of us who come to the store after work, shelves are often half-empty by evening. It’s understandable that products sell out throughout the day, but working people also need access to basic groceries. It would mean a lot if some effort could be made to restock key items for those shopping in the later hours.
I truly value Publix for its quality and service, and I’m sharing this feedback with the hope that it will lead to some positive changes.

Freda made me and my friend salad & sub & she was AMAZING. very attentive, very fast, very friendly! she wasn’t rude nor rushing us (we were goofing off a bit) and I feel my salad was made with love. Such a good worker! I would give her a raise if I could lol!
