I apologize! I had to come back and edit my review. Just stay away from this bank. I'm away in Puerto Rico on business as well as celebrating my 33 birthday and I can't take money out the ATM. I called and got the assistant manager who stated it was my pin so I tried again then she said PR is not the U.S. when I tried to explain it's a territory of the US and other US bank cards worked here she continues to say if you don't calm down I'ma hang up. I told her if you hang up when I get back I'll close my account and change my rating. She's proceeds to tell me I'll close it now and send you a check. I tried to explain I won't be back in GA until the end of the week and I'll go to the police if you tamper with my account and she hung up. SN this the same lady who opened my account and put the wrong phone number they always give me different info. I'm so tired of this bank it's always something. Just hold on to your money or keep your personal and business accounts with the same banks preferably a credit union if you can.

We have a mortgage with Ameris Bank that is billed by Ameris Bank but serviced by some other company. They do not handle mortgages in the local branches and no one that you can see face to face can answer any questions. The customer service reps are rude and inconsiderate. They read the notes from the first contact and continue to repeat the same information even though the situation has changed. No one knows anything or how to fix it. In the COVID world customer service has slacked in so many ways and this bank uses it to their advantage. Increasing mortgages with no cause and refusing to re-run escrow projections after balances paid. Nearly 2 and a half months back and forth with them on the phone and still no resolve.
