Run, don't even walk away from them. You will regret ever signing up with them. They billed us monthly for web hosting and we could not restore our website after it went 'under repairs'. We called several times to be told that everything was in working order and there was nothing they could do. We just went without a website..... We found out when we were severing our ties with Birch that they had lost the company (their vendor) that did their web hosting. I had spoken with that company and they were the ones that told me the reason that we had no capability to use what we had been charged for for 2+ years. THE WORST. I am saving approximately $400.00 a month after finally getting out of our contract. We are a small company. Some of the staff was good, a LOT of them are rude. It's the people behind the scenes (level 2) that were nice, and helpful. After giving the proper notice (90 days) prior to our termination day, they billed us for another month of service and even were so nice as to turn us into collections FOR SERVICES WE NEVER RECEIVED. The explanation was that there is work on their end that has to be done, even if they are not providing service. When I wrote a letter to contest the billing, it was past their policy of '30 days to dispute'. THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY 62 YEARS THAT WASN'T AN ALL OUT SCAM.

if I could give them no star I would. Please stay away from them. This people just wants to charge you. Their service is so expensive like no other. When you call to advice them for cancellation once your contract ends they ask you to call 5 days prior, then you call 5 days prior and they say it takes about 30 days for cancellation to be done meaning that you would have to pay no matter what for another month without using their service. Then you call to speak with a representative and when you ask her again to clarify you understood the bill, the customer service representative laughs at you this is so disrespectful and unprofessional. I'm writing this review just for people to stay away from them just in case but I know no one will because there are millions of better companies offering the same service with better quality in every way.

If only we could give them zero. They ported our old phones over to our new company and there were issues and we are a business and have no phone service currently. Our new provider asked us to port back for a few days. Birch told us we would have to sign a contract with them in order for them to do it. Also, they just went through bankrupcy. Please buyers beware. This is an unethical company. Dr. Boxrud

Do not use this company. Have been without phone for 3 days at my business. Spent hours on phone, mostly on hold, with no resolution. Still waiting for tech to come to office and resolve. No matter how much money they say can save won't matter much if and when service is required. Stay away from this company.

Wish I could give 0 stars. They love to stick new services and fees in your invoice and hope you do not notice them. When you finally notice the fees and say something, they do not want to refund them. BTW, their paper invoice fee is now $8 monthly... who charges customers to mail a monthly bill?

Our phone line goes down every time it rains/ excuses all the time about how it may be inside the building and every time ATT comes out it is an outside line issue. ATT wont fix lines and birch won"t credit your account for any days without service. COX CABLE looking good. On hold for last 10 min.

Had service here for 8 yr always having problem with service and not that having disconnected they saying have a yr contract from yr to yr and have to pay a disconnect fee

Birch Communications customer service is truly lacking. We had problems with our DSL and phone service. Each time I called to try to resolve the issues I was told it was our phones or our computers. Then when I tried to cancel our service they wouldn't allow our new provider to port the numbers without a weeks notice. We had to reschedule then Birch said we had to give another weeks notice. After all of that they are charging us an early termination fee for missing the deadline which would would have made twice without their delays. They were no help. I tried to pay the balance and was told I had to wait for the next bill. Every call was another excuse and another delay. Don't waste your time with this very unprofessional company. If I ran my business this way I would have no business left. Awful company.

Birch is the worst company I have ever done business with. They are impossible to get in touch with. I have been without residential phone service for over 1.5 years. I tried many, many times to contact them for service. Then I gave up on that and have been trying to get my service cancelled so that I'm not paying for a useless phone line. I highly recommend that you do not ever consider using this company.

I have now been on hold for over 15 minutes just trying to talk to customer service. I have been with them for years and never had issue until now. I was trying to disconnect and they were giving me run around when I was able to talk to someone two days ago. They told me someone would call me back and no one yet. I am on hold again still trying to talk to someone. Each time I try to reach them it is a terrible wait. at least 15-20 minutes, Ridiculous!!! Do they not realize some of us have work to do and cannot call back 3-4 times and sit there .

AVOID THIS COMPANY! They claim I did not attempt to terminate the service on time (although I did) and "my contract automatically renewed." They also told me they won't terminate my service until I send them a $225.00 "early termination fee" plus payment for the ongoing service I want terminated. I have checked the Better Business Bureau and other on-line reviewers (e.g. Consumer Affairs) and the complaints are all the same. I have sent a complaint to the FCC.
