Just an update. I contacted the owner or the Kia dealership (Michael Hutchinson) in order to get the service dept to give me an update on my 2015 Kia Sorento. I purchased it from the dealership last April. spending in excess of 20k. I had it 13 months when the motor went out. It's been in the shop since the end of May. FOUR months! Service dept says that there are 18 motors that have to be replaced before mine. 18! As they are taken in the order that they came in. He said some have been waiting since early April. I do have the extended warranty that was added at purchase of $4000 more to cover the motor. With that being said: DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HITCHINSON KIA IN MACON. Their service department is lousy and for that many vehicles to be piling up there, I'm beginning to think that their vehicles are as well. I'm a firm believer in giving feedback and word of mouth goes a long way.. BEWARE of Hutchinson Kia.

The sales team was amazing and I was talking to the person that did my sale and he did an good job. The service department is where I ran into problems. I went up there because my headlight started having water inside or moisture inside the headlight after looking at the headlight I didn't see no cracks or scratches on it so I thought maybe faulty seal since I bought it brand new writing this is have barley 15K miles now. I took it up there about a week ago and the service department looked at it. At first they said the LED strip must have been pushed down to hard then they looked over the light and see no cracks or anything. Now this is where it gets me. They took my car back there for over 20 minutes after the looked at the light in front of me saw nothing wrong with it. Then they drive my car back there and came back and said oh it looks like you try to open your headlight. I said no you literally just looked at it up here and was gone for over 20 minutes and come back and tell me oh you tampered with your headlight. The older gentleman kept on saying on you mess with it multiple times. So now they want me to pay them for a new headlight for my car and to pay them after they messed with it outside of my view. This was a horrible experience and I want my headlight fixed since the car is still literally have plastic in it. I would totally understand if it was cracked or something I did but why would I need to open a headlight when the other one is in perfect shape that makes no sense. I want someone over the older gentleman to give me a call so we can figure something out because this is really bad business when you just bought the car not to long ago and they don't want to honor the warranty because they want to make more money.

This is literally the worst service I've ever experienced. I never write bad reviews but I had to. I understand that kia has been backed up, I'm not mad at that but the way they have treated me has been highly upsetting. Long waits, long hold, misinformation, never calling back, forcing me to buy a battery after they were the ones that left the vehicle sitting and not cranking it up.

I went with the expectation of getting a Kia Sportage Plug In Hybrid but when I got to there it had just been sold. I’ve always wanted to get an electric car and always thought that it was out of reach financially for me. However, Jake (my salesman), and his team worked together with me and I was able to walk away with a new 2023 KIA EV6. I’m very happy and excited with my purchase and had a really good and smooth experience at Hutchinson Kia. The best part was the salesman, Jake, who was there to accommodate all my needs, answer any questions or insecurities and oversee everything from start to finish. He even helped me move my belongings from my old vehicle to my new one.

Regular oil change and tire rotation. Had 2 recalls that were taken care of. Used the transport service to get home, and before I could even get settled, transport service was rolling back in the drive way. Friendly folks and always enjoy my chats with the gentleman who provides the transport service. I can't recall his name but he is always so pleasant and full of energy.

My experience at Hutchinson's it's great with this service. I do not like that they overcharged me for it but where I can get the same bulb same where for $24 and some change where they charge me almost $40 for the same bulb. They say they have complimentary Car Wash but every time I go there it's always a issue. So I figure they need to change who's watching the cars for them because they're not doing a good job. And if it's part of the service that when we come and the offer for a complimentary car wash it's offered to us then we should receive it with excellence.

i'm very dissatified about how unprofessional the staff at kia of macon has been toward the services on our kia sorenta we purchase the car to have for transportation not for it to sit in no body shop for 16 days not knowing is theres a serious problem are have you screwd it up nobody called to let us know what was going on we had to call yall and upon calling noone seems to know whether the car there or not get it together before things really get out of hand

I waited 3 hours for them to charge a tablet. Not do work, but just charge the tablet while the actual update took maybe only 15minutes. The shop was empty, I had an appointment. They lied continuously about wait times, and it was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. They were wildly outside of their appointment time, which made me late for everything else I had to do. And then they simply did not care. I would not recommend them for anything. Take your car somewhere else. Zero stars

Excellent experience buying from Hutchinson Kia. Mykie, Patrick and Andrew had exceptional customer service and were very knowledgeable. I just walked out with this gorgeous new car today.Service team has also been great with squeezing in my other Kia for a diagnostic despite having a huge backlog of work.Highly recommend this dealership! Reasonable pricing and great service. Ask about the Hutchinson advantage

We bought our Kia in 2018 and the staff was excellent then. But as we hit the pandemic, scheduling became more difficult for them. They used it as an excuse to say they could not get staff hired. We would call to schedule an oil change...took more than 3 weeks for an opening. They sent me a coupon for new tires. I tried to schedule an appointment, more than 60 days before they could get us in, after the same was over of course. Now, I bring my vehicle in for an oil change, two days later the oil light won't go off. I call to make an appointment because oil issues can be very serious, and once again am advised that they cannot get us in for three weeks. There is no more pandemic. This is just who they are. My wife and I have been loyal Honda owners for more than 30 years, but with two kids in college, decided to get the Kia as it came with excellent reviews, a longer warranty, and was $10,000 less. We won't be doing that again. Each time we schedule an appointment with Honda, it's two to three days tops before they can get us in...with far more Honda owners on the road. I have just never once had a decent experience with the servicing of our Kia. Thanks but no thanks Kia.

Very pleased with this dealership. Easiest car purchase ever. Great, friendly and professional staff. Would like to give a more than grateful thank you to the sales lady Sara. She went above and beyond to help me with this purchase. I would also like to thank the General Manager Andrew for his assistance. And last, but not least, I would like to say thank you to the two gentleman who delivered my vehicle to South Carolina. They were both professional, friendly, and it was a true pleasure to meet them. I am grateful for the chance to speak and share my experience with Hutchinson Kia in Macon, GA. While the sales representatives were professional and personable, I was disappointed to learn that the dealership had offered to sell a car priced at $33,000 MSRP for $47,000. The car involved in the incident was a 2023 Kia Niro EX. This car is listed on kia's official website at 33,000. This inflated pricing is taking advantage of the hard-working, middle-class community where the median home price is only $144,000... As a member of a hard-working, middle-class community, I am aware of the value of our dollar and how important it is to make informed purchases.As a 100 percent disabled veteran, I was hopeful, they would recognize my status and provide me with the tax-free car that I was entitled to. However, this did not occur, and I was unable to take advantage of this benefit after mentioning it. While this was frustrating, I believe that Hutchinson Kia Macon has the potential to be a valuable member of our community, serving its customers with dignity and respect.I urge you to consider taking action to address the dealership's concerns of supply shortages and ensure that all customers receive fair pricing and are able to take advantage of available benefits. It is vital to demonstrate a commitment to customer service and transparency in all business practices, which benefits not only customers but also the community as a whole. As currently stated by Kelly blue book, and other expert sources car repossessions daily is at an alarming all time high! Which can send ripples through our economy. I believe there are a few potential solutions that could help address the challenges the dealership is facing. One solution could be to widen Hutchinson Kia's inventory sources by exploring other dealerships or auctions that can provide them with more cars to sell at competitive prices. They could also focus on providing excellent customer service and building relationships with buyers, which can help to justify higher prices. Additionally, dealerships in a position similar to Hutchinson Kia could consider different pricing strategies, such as offering incentives or financing options, or adjusting their markup to more closely reflect market trends.Increase Financial Education: this is another possible solution; the dealership can coordinate with local community leaders to host financial literacy events. This will support buyer traffic and contact info for the dealership; meanwhile giving the community priceless information that can improve consumer financial situations. One of the primary reasons for car repossessions is a lack of financial education among consumers. The community can work together to create awareness campaigns and workshops on financial management, budgeting, and debt management to help consumers make better financial decisions.I would like to extend my thanks to Hutchinson Kia Macon's dedicated employees who work hard to provide quality products and services to the community.
