Macon Mall, once a bustling shopping destination, has undergone significant changes in recent years. While the mall now boasts a reduced number of stores, it has found a unique purpose as the home of the world's largest indoor pickleball court, spread across two floors. Additionally, the new Amphitheatre is set to open in March, hosting popular acts like ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Despite the limited dining options in the food court, the remaining restaurants, including Chinese, Japanese, and a deli, have been praised for their quality and affordability. Although the mall may not be the shopping mecca it once was, it has adapted to offer new experiences, making it a unique destination for those seeking an alternative to traditional retail environments.
I visited the food court. The Chop Chop Shop which is a Chinese walk up counter. The price was reasonable, the staff was somewhat patient. The noodles/ rice was lacking in taste.
