“While the post office was closed (opens at 9 supposedly). The marble and old style ceiling and mailboxes was awesome to see. Too bad they don't make buildings like this anymore. The downside is the outside mailbox was stuffed to the gills where letters already dropped off were filling the entry slot, so it was necessary to park at a metered parking spot just to drop off a letter in the insid mail slot.
No interaction with employees occurred because it was 830am and lobby window was not open yet, although the lobby itself was open.”
“Today 08/20/26 I went to apply for my passport. The employee Chelsea that works in room 130 was the nicest person I have ever dealt with in any government office. Maybe even any public service office in reality. She has a calming voice, speaks beautifully and explains the reasons behind the information the forms are asking for. She points out after leaving the office how to keep track of the progress is going. She even shows you what the envelope will look like when your documents arrive in your mailbox. Great service.”
“Super friendly staff but they need more staff. Severely understaffed at the retail counter. Also, gettinga claim handled when you are required to present an item for inspection should be an easy routine thing but they make it hard, probably on purpose, like they have never done it before. Even if you have the letter from USPS in your hand they act like they don't know what to do. Could be better.”

“Ive been to many post offices in macon, and the one on vinnville was the most friendly and m professional of them all. The staff were helpful, fast and professional.”
