Update - First, the owner, the Gibbons, to my knowledge, and according to the father, never moved into premises after work. The father was their representative, never the legal owner. As he told us, your company had just finished the "remodel" and driven away when we came to view house. We saw a roof warranty for labor of one year. Roof was installed in July of 23?
I would love an email address to communicate and send you pictures, as your "guys" never came to look at issues with roof. The roof vent, which will run me $1,200.00 to fix, plus more if the vent cannot be removed, angles cut in, and then replaced with same materials, is not to code. I'd like the name of the county inspector to ask them to come out and go over work on roof. There have been multiple leaks in roof which I've had repaired, and I do have photos.. So far, my cost has been $1,200. No "guys" from you company have ever come to property to see what is going on. I have pictures and a sample of layers of shingles, some glued onto previous shingle layers. As well, the roof over porch is installed at wrong angle so cheapest option is to coat shingles so water does not drip between house and porch roof. I don't know cost yet.
The $1,200.00 worth of work to be done to properly vent the roof vent which is installed at the wrong angle, not to code, and not venting. I have tried to reach out to this company by phone, via email with no email to use, regarding issues around a house they had recently permitted for, and completed a remodel, including a new roof with city of Macon permits. I purchased this house in October of 2023.
I have had a couple of serious issues, most recently the new roof they installed a 4th layer of shingles glued to 3 other layers of shingles. Under one of those layers was a hole from a previous fire. Water was leaking back from soffit damaged by roof installation. I discovered these issues when the company never sent the promised "guys" who were to come take a look. Actually, an insurance company did thru the previous owners.
So, as much as I'd prefer to give a company a good review, this a company that did not do a job according to codes, and would not respond to offer remediation. They cannot be contacted via email.

This has been a major, major time wasting experience. They mispelled their name. It should be century, not sentry because it'll take them that long to get back to you. They have a very slick website of what they won't do for you. Here's what they WILL DO TO YOU: 1. get mad when you give them the estimate the insurance adjuster made. Like, it's not my fault. 2. Not submit their written estimate in a timely manner. 3. When forwarded to the insurance adjuster and the adjuster gives him his contact info to discuss it IGNORE. 4. When I, the potential customer emails him on can you tell me what the adjuster needs to "adjust" I am ignored. If they're like, how do they stay in business? Looking at his estimate, he had $4,100 dollars to remove items, inventory, box and put back. There's not that much stuff. Mainly a few shelves of small tools, assorted nails/screws, small power tools, garden chemicals, garden tools, a little lumber and a weight machine. Oh, and inflatable rubber life raft. I suppose that raft is what really drove up the cost. i think he just didn't want to do the job. He mentioned removing the hot water tank which is probably braised and since it's been there a while, doubt he wanted to move it and put it back the way it was. The first thing he asked me was how long I had been in the house. I know why. Equity in the house. He asked me what I wanted to do. I mentioned in the future I wouldn't mind putting down a better flooring, things like that. He was looking for a major remodel, not a simple insurance job and repaint the floors. While at first I thought he was knowledge and wanted him for the job, when he failed to reply to my emails on what the issue is, I realized this guy cost me a week or more of waiting on him to do something as far as an estimate and time to reply to my emails. If he came out today and said he'd do it for nothing, free and he'll throw in a free foot rub. No. I have called the insurance company multiple times, the adjuster, his supervisor and all mainly to confirm the estimate that is detailed but reads like Greek to me. The consensus is he is his estimate came in way over what is customary and normal for the cost. So, remember that if you consider using him: You may be paying Macy's prices for Walmart goods. I have no idea about the quality of his work. I just know the quality of his handling or lack of handling my questions where were not answered speaks volumes.

Chris and his team were very professional, punctual and performed high quality work. All remodeling work was completed ahead of schedule and our home was left as clean as it was before the project began. We are currently working with Sentry on a few more projects.

Sept 2017 hurricane Irma fell a large oak tree on our house. After interviewing a couple local construction companies, based on several personal recommendations and after meeting Chris Cole, owner of Sentry Construction, we chose his company to restore our broken home. Our storm damage was extensive and cost our insurance nearly half the home's total value to repair. Our house is very architecturally unique and we were nervous about whether it would be restored back to original. Sentry has a large crew of very respectful and professionally skilled craftsmen led by supervisor John Ellis who expertly managed all aspects of the nearly year long project. He is a true genius. The attention to detail, and quality of work was outstanding and for me most importantly, they are good, honest people. We never had issues with any crew member and every item on the long punch list of repairs was fully completed. They also provide a 2 year warranty on their repairs which is peace of mind. We learned so much from Chris Cole about how to deal with our home insurance. He was like a family member to us, always ensuring we were treated fairly and not taken advantage of. We were truly blessed to have made the right choice going with Sentry Construction and highly recommend them to everyone we know.

The team at Sentry not only does quality work, they guarantee out too.
More important, they truly care about the homeowner making sure they get help through all the steps of remodel, new construction or insurance work.
I would highly recommend Sentry to ANYONE.
