I have the pleasure of writing a shining review today. All the staff I encountered were knowledgeable, polite and informative. However, I would like to highlight my experience with one staff member.
I was scheduled on the second floor for a proctored exam with Rebecca L. for the assigned proctor. She was kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to help me straighten out a bit of a exam scheduling problem I had gotten myself into. If it was not for her I more than likely would not have been able to test today. Thanks to her I did not have to reschedule my exam. I was able to take the exam and even pass it. Rebecca L. is by far the most professional and easy to work with proctor I've had.
I will definitely be attempting to take future exams at this location.

Great place to take the wife and the children. It is a place for learning a place for research just an overall great place one of the nicest libraries that I've been to in a long time. A true Macon treasure and the help there are definitely what they are, a great help.

I have lived in Macon for a pretty long time and recently found out about this library from a bunch of my professors. I am researching a book I want to write, and they recommended Washington Library, I finally had an opportunity to seek it out this weekend. IT IS AWESOME. Unfortunately, I was unable to get to the archives, but I found a book in their Adult Fiction section that I am enjoying. The staff was super kind and helpful as well which I love! The process for signing up for a library card was super easy! They have so many events perfect for young readers and their families. It is super quiet so you will be able to get some work done. If you are visiting Macon, from here, or a college student (like myself) looking for a place to study, check out this beautiful library!

I come here so often, they greet me by my last name. That tells me staff truly do their best to get to know their visitors, and I am quite impressed with that given I've barely been going to this library a full year now.
They also have a rather surprising array of books for a small town like Macon including new best sellers. It's rather quiet most of the time with the exception of tiny children too young to understand the rules yet. For me, that's acceptable and easily tolerated as kids deserve a space here as well.
