My friend and I shopped at the Madison Goodwill 7/18/25 around 4:30 in the afternoon. It was so hot in the store that we were miserable. When we went to the front to pay for our purchases, the sun was shining so brightly through the windows above the register that the cashier was unable to see his screen. The sun was beating down onto his neck. He actually had sweat running down his brow. He was struggling!

I would have given this review a 5 star because I’ve really enjoyed shopping here in the past. Today I’m finding out that the very best employee is leaving. Not because he wants to but because another employee has been sabotaging his work and Jason the manager has taken her word over his without even the benefit of a doubt! There are other branches closer to me but I choose to shop here because one particular employee makes it an enjoyable atmosphere. I’m in this store OFTEN and I know what kind of employee Dennis is! He’s very hardworking, helpful, courteous and all the customers love him.
My family, friends and myself will not shop here anymore because of this!
Also- I will take all further donations elsewhere.
Jason, you should be ashamed!!
I do plan to call corporate as well.

I don't know, really, how to go about writing this review. My wife and I have never had any issues with this Goodwill. Until now! She purchased a book for me a while ago about being a veteran. Well unbeknownst to us it contained some bed bugs. And they spread quickly throughout our house. We had replace 3 beds for our kids and 1 for ourselves. But that didn't seem to work. We battled them for about 3-4 months here and there. Just when we think they are gone a few show up. And the battle starts all over again. I belive after locating the source (that book) that I may have finally defeated them. The book pictured is not the original book. I immediately threw it away without taking a picture. But it looked very similar to the pictured book below. I guess to all of you out there, please be very very careful when purchasing things.

Great store with friendly people but the lady in charge of furniture usually only puts out junk. There is lots of pretty stuff and antiques and things stacked up in the back the public would buy but she doesn’t put it out. Don’t understand that part if this store is supposed to be making money for charity.

Another Goodwill where the person pricing products has forgotten that this is a thrift store, not a consignment shop. You're not helping put people to work, you're putting money in the big boss's pocket.

Please open your dressing rooms back up. There are other Goodwills in GA that have opened theirs up. It’s no longer a Covid thing, it’s a money thing.

You should try the Thrift Store in Greensboro 405 W Broad Street, next to Holcomb's Barbeque. The proceeds go to charity and they are supported by local churches. They are open Wednesday through Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm. And lower prices!!

Talk about great finds. Great selection of clothing for all ages. Very friendly staff. Walked out of there with 4 bags full of clothes and some toys, including an awesome 1970s wooden play kitchen. Plan on going back many times.
