I found a new route that makes getting to Manchester so much easier, and it is still a pretty drive..take 85 South to exit 61.. turn left at the ramp 17 East for 18 miles..turn right at the light (85 South) for 25 miles. This places you tight into Manchester.

Really nice observation deck in city behind the historical district. Safe. Met a retired train conductor there. Nice friendly gentleman.
