Reserved car was ready; however, it smelled like someone had just smoked marijuana and were to be driving 8 hours with a newborn. Rep tried to convince us it was the smell of the leather. To add insult to injury, the rep followed up with, "of I smelled weed, I would have taken off at least $50."A different vehicle was offered, a compact SUV - we reserved a standard SUV, no reduction in rental cost and no offer of courtesy/inconvenience discount either.Ultimately, we cancelled the transaction and ended up renting from a different company altogether.This issue set our travel back 4 hours.Experience deserves 0 stars but you have to give at least 1 to write a review. ?

My guy Rashard (not sure if I spelled it correctly) is so bomb. He really knows his job, he gets you in and out and always with a good, clean vehicle.

Very rude manager who, doesn’t have the patience or ability to explain how or what he’s doing when running a business. Don’t be intimidated to ask questions regardless of how rudely he is about answering them!!!

I rented through Avis before and my experience was just ok but I thought it was the location. I will never rent through Avis again. Even the customer service line is bad … don’t waste you time, money, or brain power on this company! Especially this location .. THE WORST!

I reserved a car from this location. They texted me 2 hours before I was supposed to pick the car up. They indicated they didn’t have enough cars for their reservations. They offered to add me to a wait list. I don’t understand the concept of making a reservation to be added to a wait list. Anyway, really bad experience. I would not depend on this location if you need a car rental. Bad business, bad service, all you can do is hope that someone else doesn’t get put in the same bad situation because of this AVIS branch. They are unhelpful in offering realistic solutions to help stranded customers that depend on them.

I reserved a car at this place and called to make sure that the car reservation was set for me to pick it up the next day. The next day I was getting ready to go pick it up with my husband so I called Them to make sure everything was still good and they told me they gave our car away and then tried to give me a car that was way out of our price and refused to give us a discount even though what happened was their fault! This place sucks!

I love Avis, and am a frequent business traveler. Never had any issues. Many of my teacher colleagues use Avis as well.However, like a few people have already stated, the owner or manager here is shockingly unprofessional. This manager could careless about customer care or satisfaction. Not only did he claim to "overlook" my reservation, after I called hours beforehand, he was so impolite when he explained that he gave away the compact car that I booked 2 weeks prior. Upon checkout, I told him I was disappointed that I had to operate an SUV heavy weighted, for me and my 67 year old mother. The only thing he said was to call customer service or drive to the airport to exchange the vehicle. Almost like, "oh well." No sympathy, he wasn't bothered one bit. Then, he was raising his voice with me, shaking nervously before telling me that he wasn't going to rent me a car. I asked him why, and was he alright, and he said "no, you're not happy and my week has been hell". I told him he should calm down because I wasn't raising my voice and we are just talking. He stayed headstrong in choosing not to rent to me until my husband walked in. Then, he changed his tone. We ended up waisting a lot of time during the exchange of the vehicle as it definitely cut into our short vacation time. The car he gave me was so uncomfortable to drive, I was literally straining my leg to operate it. Unfortunately, we had to leave early the next morning and couldn't drive 40 minutes in rush hour traffic to exchange the vehicle like he wanted. Thankfully, customer service WAS able to handle the amended agreement and took care of me with the utmost respect and kindness. Avis, if you care at all about your business clients, I urge you to look into the manager or owner of this location and closely monitor his uneasy communication style with customers. This man does not have patience, true customer service skills, or practice. He lacks the ability to take care of consumers in a courteous manner. I will be sure to inform the 75+ frequent teachers on special assignments, as well as group affiliates, to remove this location and from their renter's list. Hopefully, we won't have to remove Avis as a whole, but unfortunately, if Avis chooses to keep this kind of person there without giving him the proper training and tools needed to improve his guest treatment, then that just proves that our business is not valued.

Please note that this rating is against Avis Corporate, and not the store. Called corporate office to rent a car and verify that a car was available to rent. They took all my information to ‘help speed up the check in process’. Had to get an Uber from the car dealership to the rental as there were no available cars nearby. Got to this location and the gentleman working there had to inform me that no, my reservation cannot be completed because there were no cars available. How can Avis Corporate mess up this much? Get your act together.

Highly recommend this Avis. Hard to find good customer service anymore. You’ll find it here. The cars are always clean and ready.
