Online hours for drive through posted online specify drive through is available from 9 am to 5:30 pm on Friday. However, on May 30, 2025 the drive through was not open. I could see someone sitting at the desk for the drive through customers behind the closed blinds. This was at 12:40 pm. If closed for a lunch break that is fine, but they need to say closed for lunch or similar. Need to be consistent between availability posted online and actual hours.

Initially, I met w/Vickie but later finalized my documents with Michelle. Vickie seems friendly and appears to be a person of her word, communicates efficiently and in a timely manner. The only con(s) is that when I expressed that I wanted to speak to her privately, after she informed me of a colleague shadowing her, she stated that the person works there and has to learn. Although, that is true I found that remark inconsiderate and dismissive of my concerns.
If I encounter that in the future, I will request to see someone else because it isn't comfortable discussing the reason why one is seeking a personal loan, because that can be personal and was personal in my case (death). If it was a manager observing I would have felt differently. I'll also share that I don't think she is use to people who are financially literate and/or knowledgeable about credit and who knows what question's to ask and what to seek clarification on; asking questions/clarifications on a major thing before committing shouldn't be taken as a challenge or as being undermined. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend clients to Vickie because she is honest and most importantly a person of her word and that is extremely important to me.
I finalized everything with Michelle since Vickie was out and I needed time to review and discuss things concerning the loan contract because it is not wise to impulsively sign off on something without checking over everything. Michelle is very nice, but kind of hard to reach when it counts. And Ms. Cotton is always a 10 out of 10. She is very professional, thorough, honest and kind.
The front staff are kind and welcoming!

I came to this branch to cash my check and miss Tamika's compassion is top notch. You has such a warm personality and made sure everyone was taken care of. And miss Aneka was such a gem as well. She has sure I didn't experience any problems whatsoever and that I had everything I needed before I left. These two ladies are the personification of what true customer service is all about. I highly recommend them. They are superstars!

After all approvals for a loan takes 3 days to get a chk to buy a car. Seller wanted to bail but got the chk the 4th day. Hopefully. Terrible customer service.

Our family has used Georgia's Own Credit Union since 1979. It is always a pleasant experience. AMANDA is the one that I usually deal with and she is friendly, quick, and efficient. She always has a smile on her face, and, in her tone of voice.

Update 5/7/24 A manager called me back the following week to fix the issue at hand and was able to complete what I went up there to do. Unfortunately, all that work went in vain because again a couple staff members assisting me didn’t do their due diligence. It was an extremely backwards process. I thought what was already a poor experience was going to get better but instead it got worse and I’m so baffled at how they handle their process and how I wasted so much time for nothing. GOCU needs an all around company wide training and reconstruct processes so they don’t waste peoples time. If there was an option for 0 stars it would be the choice of this experience.I would have appreciated after speaking to 6 different employees and an email that I was told the correct information before I wasted my time going up there and accomplishing nothing. GOCU needs a company wide compliance training and knowledge check afterwards. Terrible experience.

This Georgia's Own everyone is warm & welcoming even the security guard at the front door is welcoming. I had a pleasure working with Tomika she is amazing & great communicator & very listening. She assisted my mother & I very well. This was my first time at this location but I really enjoyed the customer service that we received. Kudos to the staff definitely kudos to Tomika!!
