We have had so many good and bad experiences with many daycares with both our kids. Javits has been the best experience we have had so far. We do not feel like leaving our kid at a school. It is almost like a home with the discipline and structure of a school. Ms. Soshi and all teachers do an excellent job in keeping the place safe, clean, and cozy for the little ones. The kids experiecnce a family like environment where they learn, play, and live together. We appreciate Javits so much and feel lucky to find this unique place for our little one.

My daughter loves JAC! It’s such a warm and caring place and a great learning environment. My daughter comes home with new knowledge, songs, and skills every week. Plus, the focus on diversity is a huge positive.

I have been part of the Jac family for over seven years. I love the learning environment that they provide. My children enjoy going to school there and hate to leave in the afternoons. My children are part of a diverse community at Jac and we love it. They are learning through language and cultural immersion and it is fantastic. We love it!!!

This school is an absolute gem. Children are exposed to different cultures in a loving environment. It is the third daycare my son has been to and we are so happy we found it. Shoshi and the teachers do a phenomenal job nurturing, teaching, and caring for our babies.

Our son was at this daycare for around 8 months. From October 2021 to July of 2022. They took care of our son and kept him safe. The place is just generally disorganized. I would come to pick up our son, and find him climbing around the front desk or in the office roaming around. The building is located in the back part of a office building, with the playground being a fenced off portion of the parking lot. The fence is private which I appreciated. For two working parents, the daycare just doesn’t work. The calendar is posted 30 days in advance on the door and WhatsApp is used for communication. The daycare would shut down for long periods of time in and around normal days off. For example, for Memorial Day the daycare was closed Wednesday noon and opened back up on Wednesday after the holiday. The calendar was wrong on the door, and we just had to deal with it. My wife, the grandparents, and I all tried to rally to cover the extra off days, but after eight months of similar situations we were out of vacation and favors. When concerns were expressed on WhatsApp by parents, there was no response. It was just ignored. We never complained, but it was other parents. We were happy when they did. We were limited on daycare options in the area, but as soon as we were able to get him into another daycare, we did.We followed the contract and provided 30 days notice and paid up front. When we professionally notified them, they commented that we technically owed more money. Then she said she wouldn’t charge us because she loved us. It was confusing and frustrating, but again we didn’t want any drama during the transition to protect our child. This is a situation that we hated to be in.Also - they provide a vegetarian lunch for an extra fee, but morning and afternoon snacks must be prepared each day. During the summer they reduced their hours to 8am-5pm, and stopped providing lunch. For some that is fine, but if you are looking for that service it isn’t here.I really don’t enjoy writing this review, but I wanted let other working parents know. We didn’t realize it going in, and never felt we had any options to improve the situation.

JAC has been a godsend for me and my children during this impossible year. My little one (3) is nurtured by the caring and kind staff. She is happy to go to play with her friends and loves school. JAC offers virtual learning support on Wednesdays so I don't have to coordinate a bunch of drop offs because of the hybrid schedule. while my older child does virtual learning. Shoshi and the staff take proper precautions and keep the children safe, happy, and healthy!

Javits Academic Center has the most loving, outgoing, fun, educational teachers who strive to incorporate language and culture in all activities to create Global Citizens in their classes. We have been at JAC for 3 years with our 2 daughters and plan to put our baby son there soon. The teachers really know the kids and what is best for each learner and how to connect with all children. Our daughters come home singing songs and counting in Hebrew. Being French, our daughters also teach the other students how to count and sing in their home-language, which is fun and multi-cultural for everyone. I highly recommend JAC.
