I saw Dr. Swapna Velamakanni for the first time for my annual checkup. I have to say how impressed I was by her kindness and professionalism. She made feel comfortable. She was very detailed with my lab results. First Dr. that explained my lab results. Staff was great!

Left a message with Dr. Popat nurse two days ago and still have yet to get a response from the doctor. Have been very sick for over a week and also pregnant so need to be seen. Impossible to get an appointment.

I wish I could give 0 stars to Laureate Medical Group, East Cobb. I went in for diabetes blood work on 12/8/2022 and thought that was that. I received a call on 1/20/2023 stating that an unmarked vial of blood tested positive for HIV. I was devastated and horrified by this news. How can something like this happen in our technologically advanced society? I went back in and was tested (giving consent) and it came back negative. I am truly sorry for the person this happened to and for everyone who had to get tested. This was a major failure and when I find my next medical group for primary care and endocrinology, I will definitely inquire as to what safe guards are in place to ensure nothing like this happens again.

It's hard to find old fashioned doctors that have personality, compassion. Doctors that even pretend to like their patient.

I had the worse experience today at this office. My appt was for 7:30 but was advised to be 15 mins early for check in. When I arrived at 7:15 the office was dark and the lady at the front desk was less than pleased to see me. She told me she wasn't clocked in yet and that I couldn't be checked in!!! Why ask me to be there at a time when your office is not open. As the time of 7:45 was approaching I asked why I had not been called back. She then called to the back to find out who was working with the doctor. At 8:00 a.m., 45 mins after arriving I decided to leave. The only nice person was the lady at check out and the apologizing nurse that called me to a room to sit. Waiting 45 minutes to see a doctor is unacceptable. If you were that late to an appointment I doubt if you would be seen. A patient should be given the same respect and have the same expectations. Just a waste of my time. Now I am looking for a different doctor that care about their patients time and body. By the way, the office at the Spivey location is so AWESOME. If it was so far I would continue to go to that offic

If you love a lack of customer service and being treated like dirt, then Laureate Medical Group is the place for you. The check-out staff was mean. My bill was $300.00+ I politely asked why my bill was so high and what I paid the last time. The lady at check-out snapped at me and said it wasn't her department. I left with zero answer and was basically bullied into paying a high bill. I tried to call and ask how much it would cost for my follow-up and I got the same response. Not my department I really don't know. I have called several other doctors offices and they know the doctors fees ahead of time. This medical group could benefit from a customer service class. Not very friendly and for the cost they could have a little compassion. That's just my opinion.

The entire team was very helpful and supportive during my time of need yesterday. I had an urgent medical condition and needed to be seen promptly. Despite my doctor and the nurse practitioner being completely booked, the scheduler and doctor were able to get me into the office very promptly. Dr. Popat took my concerns and condition seriously and after examination explained my possible condition, urged me to go to the emergency room, and explained to me what to expect as far as a plan of care. I felt like I was respected and that my condition was taken seriously and I felt confident in knowing what the plan would most likely be in the emergency room so that I could properly coordinate with both my family and my workplace. I cannot say enough kind things about my experience. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Popat. Thank you for making a stressful day less scary.

I just had my first appointment as a new patient, and it was wonderful. Front desk associate was very kind, waiting room was clean. All the nurses were kind and instructive, and I really enjoyed Dr. Lefkovits. She was patient and offered great answers to my questions. I would highly recommend this office! My only gripe throughout the whole experience was long hold times whenever I had to call in, but I know that's not this office's fault.

I have been going to Laureate Medical for 3 years as my primary care and I have never had a bad experience. The office staff is kind and helpful, questions are answered quickly and thoughtfully through the online patient portal, and the nurses are very skilled. I also really appreciate Dr. Popat, who has always made time for me in cases of urgent medical needs - including through telehealth - and has been an essential part of my complete medical care. I trust her medical knowledge and consideration of a patient from a full-body, internal medicine perspective.

Unprofessional! Don't go here, all unprofessional from schedulers to office staff. If a could give a negative rating I would. Patient experience is not top of mind with these people. Was scheduled with the incorrect specialist, office manager didn't know how to properly handle situation, no one took ownership of my issue. When I tried to get a refund a lady from the checkout desk said she couldn't help and laughed at my frustration. Terrible experience.

Super Happy with the entire office. Easy to make appointments, get in touch with nurses and doctors. Glad I selected them to be my primary care physician and office.

These folks are super awesome! From the receptionist, lab folks, to the appointment takers, there's not one thing bad about this place! I've suffered from 4 strokes and not many doctors offices are as thorough as The Laureate Medical Group is!

Been attending this organization for the last two years. It seems like a testing mill for insurance scams and medical fraud. they recently sent me through a battery of tests and nothing came back negative or indicative of any complications but the doctor ordered test after teat after test, as if there were good reason. Even tried to test for sleep issues. I don't have a sleep disorder. The staff is slow, arrogate in many cases, and lack customer service perspective. this organization was rude on more than one occasion and definitely did not lead me to trust their opinion after $15k worth of body scans. The doctor said I was in prefect health after all the tests came back clean. I'm not sure why they ordered all the tests if I was in perfect health. It got worse when the newly assigned doctor hinted at doing the battery of tests again. There are better doctors. Avoid at all costs unless you like being tested to death.
