This is NOT the place to take your cat for vaccinations. We took both of our cats in for their annual shots, and after standing in line behind a dog who kept peeing everywhere (which was not being cleaned up after a while), only one of our cats was allowed to get her shots. The other cat, who we warned was shy around strangers, was absolutely manhandled by the "vets" when they tried to take him out of the carrier and put the slip lead on him. He hissed at them (which he has never done to anyone before) when they were aggressively trying to tie a rope around him, and they immediately said they would not be able to vaccinate him because of this. They even tried to leave the rope inside the carrier with him, which concerned me because it seemed like he was fully tangled up in it. Surely enough, when they finally let me approach the carrier and open it up, the rope was completely wrapped around him multiple times. No wonder he hissed at them! By this time he was fully subdued and trying to curl up into a ball in the back of the carrier and hide. He was completely traumatized by their approach, and the whole time the two vets were trying to say that HE was the problem and they refused to get close to him again. Bear in mind this is the sweetest, gentlest cat in the entire world, he's simply very shy around strangers and likes to hide. He has NEVER bitten anybody out of aggression, and I can count on one hand the number of times I've ever heard him hiss. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place and will instead pay a little extra for a real professional to take care of my cats in a private, enclosed room (not an open table in the back of a busy store surrounded by peeing dogs). Maybe if you have dogs this is an okay solution for annual shots, but if you have cats, STAY AWAY!

I came in to buy more bully sticks for my dogs, and this store had a great selection with the added touch of positive customer service. In other words, my experience was not just a terrible transaction like it was three days ago at a different location. My faith in Petco has been restored thanks to the exemplary customer service from Bridget and Quan. I will definitely return to this store!!!

went here and the vets were late to set up, and then 10 minutes after when my appointment was scheduled for they denied my cat her shots. They said she was hissy, didn't even take her out of her crate, and made the assessment that she was too hissy in no more than 10 seconds. I didn't want to make a scene so I just left, but this visit was really disappointing.
