They go up on your rent continuously and never give a heads up. Having a unit inside you're charged for AC yet their AC was "not working" for God knows how long. When I went from my unit to the office the lady told me that the AC was just fixed. If that's the case it wouldn't have just been extremely hot in there. There's a long period of time that they didn't have rollable things for bringing stuff in. The only reason they got more was because someone threatened to sue for hurting himself bringing stuff without it being there to roll things on.

Good storage, but you have to know how to avoid their slippery tricks.First: The price doubles after the first month (fine print) and then goes up 25% every four months. This is extremely important because, if you’re on Autopay; you will NOT be notified.Also, if you look at the online pricing, it might say $100 …but PS places a cookie on your browser.. when you recheck the price, or go back to sign up, it’s $115. Get someone else to check on THEIR phone and they’ll see the previous $100. Go ahead and have THEM reserve the space for you.The only way to LOCK THE RENT is to prepay it. Beware. What I mean by that is, that’s how it’s supposed to go. But not always: It is very important if you’re going to prepay it, to make sure the cost remains ‘Rent - times - 12’. Because…. They quietly put a 20% insurance upcharge in there, and if YOU do not catch it: Too Bad For You.So, they’re extremely slippery and underhanded. But now you’re informed.Recap: Check prices on ONE phone, rent from ANOTHER. Get your OWN insurance. Watch for insurance to be added to ANY total or prepayment you ask for. EXPECT the rent to go up 60% over 12 months especially on Autopay. If you want to lock the rent, you have to pre-pay it, but GET the total, and make sure that they did not build in a price increase, NOR INSURANCE to the pre-pay.

Just set up a storage unit at the Piedmont location...Ebony was really friendly, she walked me thru the process and answered all my questions.

Beware of MOLD, MOLD this facility is full of mold. This management was told for over a year there was a water leak and a mildew problem and they did absolutely nothing about it which caused several persons to get mold on their items. This was willful negligence on the part of public storage management. Some previous tenants are considering a class action. They also do not keep the bathrooms functional or the elevators functional. On several occasions tenants have been trapped in the elevators and there was no emergency system to get help. Only because another tenant heard them screaming they were able to get help because cell phones do not work in the elevators and they had no functioning emergancy sustem. The elevators were not up to date with inspections which is a code violation. The gate is not functional and there are rats running around everywhere. All of these items were brought to the attention of management and absolutely nothing was done about it. If you have items in these storage units I would encourage you to go and check your items for mold.

An absolute nightmare. The gate is broken, and nobody ever thought to reach out and tell anyone? Thats small compared to the fact that the temperature and moisture level inside the building is out of control. My entire unit was filled with mold, which destroyed anything soft. My sofa, a mattress, a huge rug, pillows, etc, etc, etc. The unit was STUPIDLY expensive for what it was. I’m hemorrhaging thousands of dollars buying new items. The insurance payout MAX is $250. The damage is over 3k. This place will ruin your stuff, be rude as HELL about it, and do nothing to help you. Run screaming. Straight up theft.

During my visit, Shykia, the property manager, was incredibly helpful and supportive. She patiently answered all of my questions and provided clear explanations. I was impressed by her professionalism and wish that all public storage facilities had staff like her.

Tammy was very knowledgeable very helpful and one thing about it I was so discouraged about even dealing with a public storage unit until I came and met Tammy I've been to two other units prior and this one was a stop it wasn't the fact that it was my last stop because I could have went 4.5 miles down the road probably and obtain a different unit but Tammy was very very professional and I will recommend this place this public storage to a lot of people and I'm also a business owner so definitely Tammy gets a five-star rating from me
