So grateful to have found a quality place and warm people. I had a bad experience with the commercial vet clinics like Petco and Petsmart. Upon arrival here, I was greeted by two beautiful ladies at the front desk that made me comfortable and listened to my needs for my pet Bailey. Bailey had been struggling with a skin problem which she encounters every season. This clinic listened and delivered! Now, Bailey is feeling 100% better and is back to my precious dog. She’s happy, she’s playing, she’s smiling. Forever grateful.

I had to take one of my cars for an exam only to find out that he needed to have all of his teeth extracted. They ran tests as well and discovered he was diabetic. It has been a very stressful time for me, but the staff at VCA have been so helpful and caring to me and Windu. They’ve answered all of my questions and have called to check in on Windu post surgery, they’ve explained the tests and did a great job with explaining discharge after surgery. They really care about the animals and it shows. They had the names of the animals they were seeing on the board.

Pretty good but, unfortunately, my best experience was the first visit, and that Dr. (Preiss) isn't there anymore. I brought my senior pup in, and the next day she texted me - on her private cell phone - and asked how he was doing, with instructions to text her anytime with any questions. But, like I said she's no longer there. Calling in prescription refills is hit or miss- Twice I called one in and, after a few hours called to see if it was ready, and twice whoever answered the phone didn't enter it into the computer, so it definitely wasn't ready. This might seem rather minor, but there are meds that can cause major health issues if you run out or stop "cold turkey".Otherwise, pretty good.Edited: 23 September, 2023I took my senior pup in for his annual. The staff-From the vet on down- was excellent- Friendly, helpful, attentive, and thorough- And someone called me the next morning to see how he was doing, which I appreciated. The next day, I had to pick up a refill, and it reminded me of another issue I have: They used to fill the liquid in see -through green bottles, but they changed to a black bottle that can't be seen through, even if it's held up to a light. I guess I'm supposed to do the math to figure out when I'm getting low, but not every dose will be the exact .5ml. Whoever made the decision to switch the bottles- probably to save a half cent per bottle- didn't bother to consider the possible risk to the pets. Charge me an extra dollar- but please give me a bottle I can see through.

I've been going to VCA Terrell Mill for 20 years but no more. Ever since they became part of the VCA network it has been a constant turnover of staff and Vets. Last Spring they started closing on Saturdays (first red flag) and yesterday I called to make a routine dental appointment and was told they have a 3 1/2 month WAITLIST because they have no permanent Doctors on staff now (2nd and final red flag). I have even had my pets enrolled in the VCA pet insurance program for many years and it is very convenient (but a bit pricey and limited to one specific VCA hospital that you enroll at) - I loved it. Rarely any out-of-pocket expenses for routine visits. However, in January '23, my fur baby was suddenly vomiting and lethargic. I immediately took her there and after a routine routine exam - they sent me home with some anti-nausea meds. Six hours later I was at the emergency vet (thank you Dogwood!) where they told me my dog had developed sepsis and was ~ 12hrs away from death. I was very angry at VCA Terrell MilI and will not forget that experience with them. Now I'm taking my pet care to another Vet practice. Take it from me and Julie S from 7/5/2023 - until they get their act together - beware.

I’ve been taking my fur baby to this location for the last few years (6-year old yorkie). We always have a good experience but today was exceptional. Ana was our vet assistant and was so great with my dog. He is well behaved but normally cries at the vet. He was calm, still (mostly lol) and quiet. She had a magic touch - she was amazing!! Thank you Ana! I also appreciated Dr. Patel taking the time to provide me additional information to care for my fur baby. They recommended a product but encouraged me to shop around for the best deal - that proved they really care and it’s not about making a sale. 10/10 - would recommend!

We have been clients since following our previous vet Dr. Monroe after she became the director. It was confirmed today that Dr Monroe, all other permanent vets, and the manager have all left. What a mess. We have not liked VCA since day one. I can't speak to what goes on behind the scenes but it became clear to us that there were ways in which the vets did not have flexibility - and we were being nickel and dimed. Today we have a sick dog and they don't have enough people to see any sick pets. After two months of not receiving a single email or text answer and getting dodgy answers, our pets are behind on vaccines and meds because instead of telling us the situation up front, they gave us zero answers and evaded emails. My husband finally had to go in person to get meds and find out what was happening. Unbelievable. Do not go to a VCA hospital. There were amazing people there, but clearly this organization is deeply flawed.

Our experiences have been great here. We have a 17 year old dog & she is a frequent patient. It’s nice knowing the staff actually cares and tries to make her feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Monroe is amazing. So personable & you can tell she really cares about your pets well-being. I feel like your pet is in great hands here.

Everyone was very nice and treated my dog with respect. The paw print was a special treat I will cherish forever. It was hard losing my boo boo (Rusty).

When I adopted my cat the agency recommended VCA as a “Budget clinic”. The prices don’t represent that, but the quality sure does.My cat was having severe gum inflammation, so I took her to VCA just for them to look at her and say she needs a teeth cleaning. They quoted me over $1000 just for that, which is a joke.I ended up taking her to a different vet who actually ran tests and concluded that she has a gum disease and will need a major procedure to fix it.Don’t waste your time or money. Thanks for absolutely nothing, VCA

BEST VET PRACTICE I've ever experienced. No kidding. From my first phone call to being warmly welcomed by the girls at the front to time with the vet tech and then the vet, OUTSTANDING. c Both the tech, Scarlett, and Dr. Preis spent so much time with Izzy, my dog, and me. Very thorough exam which lead to an accurate diagnosis. I left feeling heard and informed. Cost, which is usually crazy-high at previous practices we've been to, was reasonable and doable.Look no further than VCA. I promise you will not be disappointed.-N. Schreiber

Staff is very friendly. Doctors are helpful and attentive towards pets. I hate that they are no longer open on weekends. However, they are still willing to work with you when it comes to scheduling.
