You can spend 10 minutes on the phone talking to a computer and getting nowhere. In fact, get hung up on. If you want to talk to a human call, Clearview glass or Novus. Don't waste your time with safelite.

Made an appointment to have window replacement. Upon arrival and just about taking window out realized the car was old and need a certain seal which they didn’t have. So I was informed it was gonna take two weeks to get the part I need in. So after waiting the two weeks. I called the day before the reschedule appointment to see if the part came in and to see if it was gonna be any extra cost. after being informed the part was in and giving my total they sent a technician out just to tell me he need the part that they ordered. Just to inform us the part was not ordered because my insurance did not cover it, the day after the confirmed the part was in. So moral of the story I wasted to weeks for something I could have went somewhere else to fix quicker.

Mike did a great job on replacing my windshield for my 2019 Miata. He brought me back and showed me imperfections from the last time the windshield was replaced, and again to look everything over after he finished up to make sure I was happy.Mazda has a TSB that states to replace the outside garnishes during windshield replacement, and a lot of places (even other Safelite shops) try to reuse the old ones which causes them to blow off at higher speeds due to the clips breaking during removal. These guys had all new OEM parts ready, and replaced them accordingly.I was putting this off for quite some time, but this shop exceeded my expectations. Thanks again, Mike!

The team here is super friendly and efficient. They replaced my windshield and tested the sensors in less than 3 hours. They even explained the pros and cons of my deductible and insurance prices vs paying out of pocket. (My windshield was a rock magnet ?)

I have taken my car here twice for a broken windshield. The first time they made me wait 30 minutes after dropping my car off to tell me there was a huge scratch in the windshield that they had to replace it with. I took off work and drove and hour to bring my car here. Now today, I dropped my car off for an appointment to replace it again and they call me an hour later saying that the replacement glass is damaged AGAIN. This is not good business. They do not check the glass prior to the appointment and don’t notice these things until it’s time to actually do the replacement. I will do my business elsewhere.

I have used Safelite multiple times in the past and have never had any issues. That has all changed with my last experience.First could not talk to anyone due to being all automated now, and could not get any questions asked. Scheduled an appointment for rear window replacement for a Friday. Technician called on Thursday to ask me quaestions about my window. Dropped it off and the was called by the technnician to tell me that they had removed my rear window but could not install the new one due to being bowed and they the have one at their warehouse and would pick it up on Saturday and he would cal me back in about 15 to to minutes to confirm that they had one. Five minutes after hanging up recieved a text that my new appointment was confirmed for Monday a week and a half later. Two later I called the tech to get update again said they had one and was having someone pull it aside and hold it and would pick it up, asked about new appointment and was told that was just a place holder. Saturday recieved a phone call that the system showed 1 in stock but was not there and they were trying a 3rd party vender and would call back that day for an update. NO one called. On Monday I called them and was told that they should not have given me that much information and that my appointment was for next Monday. On Thursday recieved a call that my window was completed. Went to pick it up, the receptionist acted as if the custmers were waisting her time. She asked can I just email you a reciept and i said yes, but she never did. When i checked my truck, the headliner was not installed correctly and the paint around my window was scartched and chipped. Went back in and was direced to who I assume was the manager. They came out and looked and said that they did not have the headliner in place when window was installed and the scratches was probably from the tool used to remove it. They fixed the headliner and was told to take it to a shop they use about the scratches. When I left made a stop and noticed that my light/turn signal cover on my mirror was missing. I called and they said they would need pictures of it and they did nothing to the mirror. I went back to the store and the person spoke with earlier was not there and they walked around and looked to it and then just didn't bother with me. I called back about 3 hours later and was manager said he was sorry forr not getting back to me that he was in a confrence call. I discussed the issue and i also told him that i never recieved a reciept, he emailed me three copies while i was on the phone with him. When i got home I started looking my truck over and when I grabbed the top of the rear seat got glass shavingS in my hand and found that they did not clean all the glass up, the carpet was not installed correctly after removing the back seat, the center seat belt holder tabs were broken and one side will not stay in place. I have not checked to see if the window leaks yet and am kind of hesitant to do so.Received a survey email and filled it out, at the end was asked if a customer rep could contact me and I said yes. NO repsonse as of yet and from what I have experienced and read on line they will not contat you they want you to contact them. Costumer service is not high priority.

I’ve used this and other Safelite’s in the past. For the most part, my experience has always been a solid three stars. The job needing to be done got done, but other problems have arisen. Of the three rock chips I’ve had repaired over the last few years, my only complaint is that in this day in age we should have a better way to repair cracks. But the repairs are “good enough”. My problem with this Safelite specifically is that in the last 5 years, I’ve needed my windshield replaced twice. While they have nothing to do with the reason I need a new windshield, they are the company I’ve used to replace my windshield. Upon the first replacement, I opted to use OEM glass because it was newer and it’s a BMW. While waiting for my vehicle, I was told it should take a specific amount of time, let’s say 2 hours. Well, an hour after it was supposed to be ready, I was informed my vehicle would not be ready that day because the technician broke several one-time use clips. I was given a deal and instead of having to pay the $700 for the windshield replacement, I only had to pay $500.00 and must wait over 24 hours for my vehicle to come back. During this windshield replacement, my BMW was wrapped and there was zero damage done to my vehicle or the wrap. The second replacement, from August 2023 is what this review is about.Fast forward to the second windshield replacement in the last 5 years on the same vehicle. This time, I opted for the cheaper Safelite provided glass to be a little easier on the wallet. The price still ended up being around $400, so didn’t save much there (oh well). What irritates me, is that upon scheduling the appointment, I was told “no we don’t offer a military discount” (which is perfectly fine) and that “they would work a deal in” being that I’ve been a somewhat frequent customer. This did not occur; in fact, I received a text and email two hours after dropping my BMW off confirming that I was just on the phone and that I had confirmed a price to be charged…this was simply because my credit card was on file from the last time being here! When I finally picked up my car (and charged the full amount, not a discounted rate as the woman on the phone had informed me, I would be getting) I noticed my wrap was damaged. The wrap was pushed back, revealing the original paint color of my vehicle…this was a direct result of poor workmanship on behalf of the Safelite technicians. This has forced me to make a choice, either rewrap the damaged areas or completely remove the wrap. Having the areas re-wraped would have cost approximately $1500, while the wrap removal costs about $800. I opted to remove the wrap, again, because of the damage Safelite had done to the wrap (see pictures!).At the end of the day and experience, I am unhappy with Safelite because they lied and damaged my wrap…but it’s not all bad, I did get some new tools out of the experience…THAT WERE LEFT UNDER THE HOOD OF MY VEHICLE BY THE SAFELITE TECHNICIANS!To summarize…1) a Safelite technician lied to me over the phone, by telling me I could receive A discount then automatically charging me without my actual voice authorization!!!2) Safelite technicians damaged the wrap on my vehicle forcing me into one of three options (drive around with a messed-up vehicle, redo the wrap, remove the wrap)3) Safelite technicians left tools under the hood of my vehicle – creating an extremely hazardous engine bay!4) Safelite technicians left out gromet dividers that section the engine bay into different segments (i.e. now I’m missing parts to my car because of this Safelite experience)
