They have one lane open in drive thru, lobby closed. Takes forever to do your banking. I have been in the line now for 10 minutes and not one person has moved.

This bank seems to switch names often and when it changed to Cadence Bank it was the first time there were any negative changes from when I first opened account. They keep adding fees. Now they charge for use with foreign ATM and don't cover their charges. Before they were always covered. Then they added a $2 paper statement fee . We asked how to get rid of fee and they said we could do it online by going "paperless". They failed to mention if you are enrolled in online banking and cancel paper statement you get a "going green" fee of $6 a month. Did they think we wanted a larger fee when we asked how to get rid of fee. When I called and asked what this new fee was the woman who answered was extremely condescending. That is something that is also new it seems. In the past the people I have dealt with have always been extremely nice and helpful. Not anymore. Also it has now switched to a Discover card and that card is not as widely taken and when shopping online there is not always a way to do it as debit with a pin. I have had this account for 13 years. We are closing our account. I would not recommend to anyone to bank with them for any reason at all.

Since Cadence switched to the Discover debit card my card has been denied at 2 businesses as a debit card (however worked as a credit). Having a debit card that I can not use as a debit card is useless to me. When I called the 800 customer service number they told me to call my local branch to see if they could issue me a different type of card. When I called the Martinez branch they said they could not do that. Their solution was for me to let them know when my card was declined so that Discover could talk to those businesses and convince them to accept their debit card. It is not my job to fix the bank’s problems nor does that help me when I am trying to do a transaction as a debit. So, cadence is losing a customer and I hope they lose many. I’ve had this account since 2009 when it was State Bank, it is sad that a good bank got taken over by a lesser bank.

We've been a very loyal customer but since it's changed to Cadence, we're very displeased. My son got a new debit card. Unlike most banks that have Visa or Mastercard logos, Cadence is Discover. There has been SEVERAL places that have declined his card... even ones that take Discover. We're seriously considering switching banks!! :(

Going to be closing out my accounts here. Currently in the second buy out this bank has gone through. The first one was a horrible experience and with having to change cards and account numbers. This one has our mobile app shut down, and they are not allowing access a new app until week later. Don't understand why this bank doesn't have stability.
