I want to say thank you to the staff and especially to the manager Aaron Mitchell. They helped me out tremendously. I was here from Texas and wants they found out that I was from out of town they expedited the repair of my transmission. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again for everything.

I recently had my 2011 Rav4 car's transmission replaced at AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care in McDonough, and I couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional service I received. The team was professional, efficient, and thorough in their work. A special shoutout to Aron Mitchell for his outstanding customer service. Aron was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable about the repair process, ensuring I understood every step and felt confident in the work being done. My husband even mentioned how great he was about explaining what repairs needed to be done and what the cause of the issue was. Thanks to his expertise and dedication, my car is running smoothly again. I will definitely be returning as a loyal customer. Thanks AAMCO!

Aron is great to deal with- very personable and professional. We where stranded in Georgia- heading home to Ontario- he immediately went to work- found a transmission for me in another state- got it and fixed me up, so we're able to get back on the road . Excellent work- 5 out of 5.
Thanks ?

I arrived on 9-25-23 with my transmission slipping badly, and was told that they could not locate a unit to just swap it our (36,000 warranty) but they could rebuild my unit for just under $6400 but I would only receive a 12,000 mile warranty. Since I needed my van for work I agreed to move forward. A month later to the day 10-25-23 I returned with the transmission making a vibration. They tried to tell me it was not the trans but I disagreed and they proceeded to dump some no slip fluid in my trans and it did seem to help for a while. Now I drive a lot so the miles add up quick but at this point I was well under my 12K warranty. Just under a month later I was in Michigan helping a friend move to SC and the van started acting up and I decided to take it to another Aamco shop to have them take a look. They dropped the pan and found metal flakes in the fluid and told me I need yet another transmission installed. I called down to the GA shop and since the shop I was at did not do rebuilds they wanted me to take it to another Aamco location that was over an hour and a half drive away. I called that shop and was told that it would be a week to ten days before they could even look at it since Thanksgiving was the following week and I really did'nt think the van would make it that far. At this point I asked the shop I was at how long it would take for them to find and install a new unit. They told me a few days and sure enough they were able to locate a unit, remember they GA shop said they could not get one, not only did they get it done in a few days they installed a brand new unit and gave me a 100K mile warranty for less money than I was charged the first time. I was hundreds of miles away from home and the GA shop expected me to pay for a hotel and rental car for over a week plus the additional time for the other shop to repair. I proceeded to dispute the charge on my Visa card and the response from the GA shop on the first claim was they would not issue a credit. The first claim was for my deposit, the second one was for the balance I gave at the time I picked my van up. On the second claim the GA shop said if I brought back my transmission they would issue a credit so which is it? They are well aware that they have no right to my old transmission since I had to leave it with the shop that installed my new unit. They also have failed to mention when replying to the bank investigation telling them that I was out of warranty. I WAS NOT I HAD IT TO THEM ON 10-25-23, and have a google maps timeline to prove it! All they did was make so they could get me off their back and get me out of warranty. The bank put one of the charges back on my card last week however they have reopened the case when I gave them new information about how many horrible reviews and explained that they have no right to a transmission that they rebuilt poorly. Stay tuned I will let you know how the drama ends but unless you want to go through the crap that I have I would suggest looking for anyone but these people to handle your repair needs.

I brought a running car for unknown drive train issues and was told they fixed the misfires by replacing the coils and rusted spark plugs and the ride would be a little "rough" from needing new motor mounts but when I drove my car home I almost didn't make it. Now I have a non running car that sounds like a chugging go-kart that sometimes can't go over 15 mph! I already had a rude interaction after I was told a time line from another employee and it was not met and now I have an undrivable car. Beyond livid I wasted my time, The shocks were rusted so that did need to be fixed but it had nothing to do with the drive train and somehow made everything worse. I'm out over $600 and have to find a new LEGITIMATE shop to pay for another diagnostic fee to see what the REAL issue is and fix it. Bottom Line, Just avoid this place. I learned my lesson not paying attention to bad reviews.

Took my ML350 in for transmission service. I was quoted $135 for a diag. fee and was fine with that. After speaking with the tech and explaining the repair I had already attempted, he was willing to look into the problem further. A few days later the tech tells me they don't see anything wrong and did NOT charge me the diagnostic fee. Turns out the repair I did actually fixed the issue but the TCM code needed to be cleared. This is an honest company! And that's hard to find.
