Richie is a complete rude and unhelpful person. I came in the store and he is watching his phone did not once offer any help. Then when I was check got mad because I don't not want anything else they are selling. I have been coming here for years spending quite a lot when need something. I just want to pay for my stuff and leave. He would not stop pestering me so I left the product and told him to give my money back! I wish they could find good help!

I’ve been coming to this store for years as I live in area, but yesterday I had the absolute worst experience. I’m walking in the store & there’s a young Caucasian male that walks in seconds before me, the young Caucasian male that was working, greeted him & asked if he needed help with anything all while currently assisting another Caucasian gentlemen! Me, as an African American nurse, I walked in, he looked in my face & didn’t greet me at all. I walk around for a couple minutes & when I literally went approximately 4ft of him & the guy he was assisting, he peeped at me then turned his back to continue helping the same guy, meanwhile the young fellow that walked in with me made his way around to where we all were as he was looking for items to buy, the store employee asked him AGAIN, if he could be of any assistance. At that point, I walked out because I REFUSE to spend my money in places with HORRIBLE racist people like this!! GNC NEEDS TO BE MORE SELECTIVE OF WHO THEY HIRE….FIRE HIM!!!

The gentleman working at the Lake Dow location was not pleasant at all. I had no idea he was even working when I walked in. He was sitting on a stool behind the desk on his phone the entire time. When I went to check out, he didn’t even look up at me. Just stood up and started scanning. Never asked for a rewards card, nothing. Silence. I had to tell him, he then seemed annoyed he had to go in and add my number for me to get my rewards. Not a pleasant experience. I should have just walked out and not even bothered with purchasing my items from this location.

Demetrius became very snarky after I refused to get a GNC card. I come into GNC a couple times a year so saw no need for it but definitely will not be visiting this one again. Associate was slow to assist or help with any purchases I waited at the checkout desk for minutes until he decided to stop stocking in front of me to ring up purchases. Mumbled when speaking and his demeanor clearly shown that he did not want to be at work. Also when I notified him the one of the products rang up incorrectly he ignored me & continued to walk to the back of the store to continue stocking. I repeated that the shown tag price differentiated & he shrugged it off to say “oh well that’s what it rang up”. I asked him why isn’t the tag price not honored & he continued to ignore me. 5 bucks difference wasn’t a big deal but his attitude throughout this visit was totally unacceptable. I got a refund right then & there. I understand no one wants to work on a Saturday. But don’t apply to customer service positions if you are not keen on providing services. Never visiting this GNC location again. Terrible associate.

The sign says it opens at 10 and it's 10:23 and the lights are off in the doors locked!

Depending on employee working at the time customer service is meh to awful and they seem to always be low/out of product.

I’ve came to this store many times because it’s the closest one to me. However there is this employee that works there that just doesn’t come across as pleasant. I come in knowing exactly what I want. One time he tried to pressure me into getting more than the 2 energy drinks I was getting saying I need to just buy the whole case (I drink half of one on occasion when I need a little boost that day. No need to waste money on a whole case) Another time I came and said “I have a question” and he responds with “no questions, why don’t I see results” this stuck with me because I remember a while back when I came and got a product he said “I expect to see some results” then once i asked if they will be getting a specific product I’ve been looking for, he starts bashing the product saying how they aren’t good. It was a simple yes or no question. The 2 stars instead of 1 is because he did call the other store to see if they got one. But over all made me feel very uncomfortable to come in there. Probably will not be coming back.

Went to this location because it is close and I knew what I was looking for. The guy asked me if I needed help and I told him no. He got upset because I told him I was already taking something that he recommended so he practically threw my bag at me and the only reason they got 2 stars is because the lady was nice and told me to have a good one. I know they are knowledgeable but if someone knows what they're looking for already, I suggest not taking it personal.

Awesome people here at this location. Joe even knows me by my first name and always greets me with a great attitude. This store is always clean and well stocked and has a huge variety of the latest products. Great place .5 stars for sure.
