This complex is unfortunately going downhill. The trash compactor is overflowing with the addition of a large dumpster sitting at an angle that blocks outgoing traffic; hallways are dirty and the gate is always malfunctioning. It actually damaged my car but the office said they weren’t responsible for any damage the gate causes; but anyways it’s been damaged for over 2 months now so anyone is able to enter and do as they please in this gated community. We constantly have to “reset” this old thermostat to get it to function correctly and that in itself effects the electric bill. Other than that, the inside of the apt is nice and spacious.

I should have know when I got the run around prior to the move in even happened. Once I was able to move in it seemed fine until I realized we have a roach infestation. I had to hunt them down and irritate them about the bugs . They sent pest and they didn’t even come in my home I have a ring camera. Here we are a month into our stay and I’ve gotten the run around for the past two weeks of not being able to get in contact with anyone because people are out of the office and they will say they will be in and then never show up. I wish I could break my lease but it isn’t that simple. I have small kids and they expect us to be ok with living in nastiness even though I’m sure their apartment that they live in doesn’t have these issues. I was promised a credit due to paying for bug products out of my pocket yet it hasn’t been applied and rent is already due. Ridiculous.

you have to earn stars so I will start out with just 1 because I only been here since October and when I moved in my rent was one price then November it was higher by a few bucks but December came and it jumped to a couple hundred . they added on bonus charges and they gave no option to for tenets to allow trash pick up , you have to pay 15.00 trash fee plus 25.00 for trash pick up we don't even use , the management there don't never stay in the office , I been trying to each these folk for 4 days now , they have a guy that knows nothing but to sit and take notes

Yea, I’m about to do it. Came in Wednesday with my daughter and grandbaby. I wanted to say that so they would know exactly who I am. I did a tour and spoke with the leasing specialist. They were both very nice. My granbaby even liked them. Decided to do my application. I submitted all my documents. Now, I work for the federal government so anything I submitted should have been ok. I submitted my paystubs which were a little off due to the federal government shutdown. This apartment uses a third party to verify your income and everything else. If you ask me they need to use a different service. I got a notice that said I was pre approved today and then shortly after that it said I was declined due to fraudulent data…. My question is what data was fraudulent?! I work for the federal government so what on earth was fraudulent. No question asked or call from the company they used but a flat out denial. I called the apartments and I was told they don’t make the decision and I understand that. However if you give somebody a denial provide the customer with a number to call. I had to look the company up and call them myself and they still couldn’t tell me why. I have applied with two different apartments since this denial and I was approved. I submitted the same documents so what on earth was fraudulent. I paid an application fee to be denied. That’s an insult to me and fraudulent to me because for a while I wasn’t being paid any due to the shutdown. I could have taken my business somewhere else. I don’t have money to give freely. Just a word of advice to anyone applying please be careful with these apartments. The company they use is called Approved Shield. The email didn’t have a number for me to call and I had to look up the number myself. If something was wrong with any of the information I submitted they should have given me an opportunity to resubmit documents or information. Something is definitely not right being that I was just approved for another apartment with submitting the same documents and
information. Please make it make sense!!!

Helen and her team were amazing throughout my stay. Any maintenance issues were handled quickly, and the community stayed quiet and well-kept. Management clearly cares—there was regular pressure-washing and property upkeep. While some residents made things challenging, especially around the trash compactor, Helen’s team stayed on top of it and kept the area clean. I even saw them remove a discarded mattress the same day.
Thanks for a great year.

The worst apartment complex I’ve lived in.
When I originally looked to move here I applied and paid application fees for a renovated unit. 2 days before move in i called to see if I could move in a day early thats when i told my unit wouldn’t be ready early nor on the actual move in date stated on my lease. I was also told that the unit I applied & received a lease for was actually not renovated, and that it was a mistake on their end. Despite the renovated units being what they advertise on their site which drew me to apply to the complex in the first place. Paid $225 in Application fees and if I’d known I could possibly be moved into an outdated unit I wouldn’t have spent money applying to the complex at all. If the units advertised online are “luxury” and bright I wouldn’t expect being moved into a unit with brown walls.
Since I was moving from over 3 hours away, and it being last minute I had no choice but to take whatever they had available. Even though the mix up was their fault, I was told I would still have to pay $500 to transfer units whenever one I originally applied for became available. Which makes no sense, The least they could’ve done was waive the fee.
The floors in the apts are overly thin and creaky, I can hear everything the people above do as well as hear AND feel every single step they take… lived in several other apartments and have never had this issue. Neighbors loud 24/7, kids running over your head from sun up to sun down. Paying rent and can’t even have peace in the space, even after formal complaints.
Paying for valet trash is mandatory, yet majority of the time the trash is left sitting for DAYS leaving animals to get it and then you will have to clean up the mess left in the breezeway because the trash crew does not. Gates always broken, black mold in apartment, appliances constantly messing up. Have emailed corporate multiple times and they don’t ever respond. I can’t wait till my lease is up, it’s been a complete waste of time and money moving over here. There are much better apartment communities in the area for the same price. So I suggest you take your money elsewhere. If you feel you just must move here make sure you view your EXACT unit before signing anything and if you can, get a unit on the top floor.

This review is strictly based on property tour.
I toured on a Saturday - late morning - with Lotticia. She was very welcoming and bubbly. She made me feel like my interest in this complex was top priority. I was nervous because I am selling my home and the move in timeline is iffy. Lotticia was very helpful in reassuring me of options that I have if I wanted to apply before my house is sold. She answered all of my questions and left an open line of communication for any further questions/concerns/re-tours.
The property itself was clean and quiet for a Saturday. The demo unit was in the middle of being moved/staged, however, I didn't mind. I was still able to fully explore the space. I had access to drive the full complex and noted plenty of people walking their dogs, washing cars, and exercising. I have a 10 year old doxie who loves walks. Seeing people out and about with their dogs brings a sense of security. Halston McDonough is a top contender when it's time to secure a new home for me.

I called halston McDonough today reluctantly looking for a new apartment, I came here I two months ago and and I toured with the property manager who was an absolute disaster very rude and dry. So I tried it again recently and the new girl Tc changed my mind! She’s extremely nice and mannerable. Because of her Im looking forward to the rest of my experience here!

For the past 11 years I have little to no problems living here. I have had an enjoyable experience living here. Quiet, not many noisy neighbors. The maintenance department has come on a timely basis to fix any issues I may have had. Office has been kind and friendly to me. I don't bother them they don't bother me

These apartments are amazing. The office staff are very nice and welcoming. Answered all questions. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The apartments are big and beautiful. There is always events they hold to get together and meet the staff and other tenants. Pool is open all year round! Definitely plan on staying here for a long time. I recommend these apartments.
