They saved my kitten's life. He wasn't eating and had difficulty breathing. My vet and 2 closer vets could not get him in. Old Capitol got him right in and took excellent care of him. The Dr and the staff were very nice. He stayed 2 days and is doing much better. The bill was not that bad. I will only come here from now on.

Today was my first visit here , and it was an excellent experience. First off I just have to say appoint only is the way to go! The last 2 vets I have used have been a show up and wait in a crowded room with ten other clients for up to 2 even 3 hours. The last two vets I have been to have felt very "business" like with about a dozen employees on at all times with iPads and working on bills and seeing how many customers they can move thru the system. Dr. Smith, office has a tech, and a receptionist, when I walked in I was greeted right away and they knew who I was since they don't over book and I was the only customer there at that time. Their prices are very fair and in line with the last two vets I have been to where I just felt like a sale and not very much like a fur baby parent . I never ever look forward to vet bills but I am looking forward to going back to Dr. Smith with my other doggie and to follow up on the first one.

Rudest receptionist I've ever encountered. Talks to you like you're stupid. Didn't even treat my cat for what I took him in for. Gave extra meds that we didn't even approve. Never again. Tried them several years ago and the same thing happened. We'll stick with Gordon animal clinic from now on!

By far the worst animal hospital I’ve ever been to, Dr smith is the worst doctor ever, I would highly not recommend her to anyone. If you want your dog to live do not go to old capital pet care.

Great customer care and pet care but apparently they like to charge for things they never mentioned prior to the care. I was told the bill would be 130 but after receiving the bill it said 188 because they gave my cat booster shots but never told me about them before doing so.

I grew up on a farm and have have countless experiences with vets. This is by far the rudest. I called worried about my kitten after she got dewormed from them and had 2 separate appointments to do so. A month later I found worms on her and called the vet worried and they responded "what do you want me to do? Explain it to you?" No I want you to treat my cat as it's your job. They had a tone with me the entire time and every time I took her in was very rude. They even scuffed and laughed throughout the phone call while I was simply trying to figure out what needed to be done to help my poor kitten. They also explained she got worms from her "fleas". She's been treated for fleas multiple times and is a fully indoor cat who I have never once seen scratching or seen a flea on her and she sleeps with me every night. They act like you are a bad owner even though I have taken her to the vet 3 times in the 2 months she's been alive.

First and last time that i attempt to use their services. As a nurse we can not turn away a patient and i know subconsciously it would bother me if I did turn away a patient. But I guess being a veterinarian it is totally different medical ball field. My cat was really sick with a virus, had a fever, dehydrated, rapid respiration secondary to him having cardiomyopathy (which he was probably born with and we were unaware). Old capitol pet care refused to see him because the veterinarian was about to leave (was standing at the door/desk when we walked in and did not even acknowledge my son or i). Was advised that they could see him the next week. With great sadness he ended up passing 2 days later.

I hate to see these other reviews. I had an emergency with one of my pets & previous vet would not see me because I had not used them in over a year. I'd be a new client & they weren't accepting any. Old Capital told me to bring my pet in without any questions. My dog was promptly seen. I was also charged for opened meds. They were opened in front of me, & I was shown how to treat my dog's wound & to give medication. The staff was very helpful & friendly. As far as it being mentioned unclean, unless you consider dirty paw prints on the floor & some pet hair from clients bringing in their pets, the place was very clean in the treatment rooms. Taking your pet to a vet is like taking your child to a physician only your furbaby can't tell the vet what hurts. You'd be just as upset if not more if the vet misdiagnosed. Old Capital does excellent work! Don't let a couple of reviews fool you!

Arrived there on Monday at 7:30 with my very ill kitty baby. She had been sick all weekend. I was met outside by a staff member who looked at me like "why are you here...what do you want". I explained that my kitty was sick and we needed help. She then asked me if I had an appointment. By then I was in tears. Told her no and she stated the vet wasn't in anyway until later and named 2 other places that I could go to. She then offered me an appointment for later that day...keep in mind my kitty baby needed care and she didn't even look at her. If the vet wasn't there she could have at least took her in and acted like she cared. I then left...went to Heart of Ga animal care. They immediately took my sick kitty in...no appointment necessary because they felt that any sick animal was important with or without an appointment. I'm so thrilled that somebody care and my Nyx is improving and bouncing around again.

Horrible experience. They left my cat in a small crate for 6 hours and still did not examine her. On her spaying they argued that she was pregnant and she has never been around mother cat. This is the most incompetent, neglectful and most expensive vet I’ve ever been to. If you love your pet do not go here
