The guy at the register said my card declined, so the friend I went in with had to pay for everything. 2 days later I check my credit card statements and, wouldn't ya know it, a charge from this store! Either they're blatantly stealing or they don't train their cashier's properly. Either way, go somewhere else.

Arguably the best craft beer selection in Lake Country. Challenge is that only a fraction of it is priced so when your browsing you have no idea of the cost till you to the register. Have been surprised by $15 4-packs and had had to start shopping all over again.

When it comes to getting some liquor or wine in the Ville this is my stop. Like the previous reviewer stated, Gil's is much better than the other choices in town. Gil's has much better selection of liquor, beer, and wine; they also carry a good selection of cigars. The prices at Gil's are on par with the other stores in the area. And the customer service at Gil's is great. They are always happy to help you find what you need, and if they don't have it they'll tell you where to find it or order it for you. Also they got one them awesome ice machines outside where you can get a 16 lb bag or 20 lb bulk cooler of ice for $1.50 which sure as hell beats buying your ice from other stores; kind of makes it a one stop shop.

Gil's is the superior alternative to Roc's Cork Shoppe - the miniature, half empty package store frequented by broke college kids located just down the street. Impressive selection of craft brews, small but aspiring international shelves, and comprehensive hard liquor section. Would probably have more to say about this store, but only had 10 minutes to walk through before they had to close on a Saturday night due to Georgia's ridiculous ban of alcohol sales on Sunday.
